Are Jews "Chosen" ? Chosen by who ?

On a real forum though, those statments reflect the hallmarks of anti-semitism.

 

I beleive that there is no moderate interpretation of zionism on this forum.

Zionism is demonized in its entirety. It is used interchangeably with jews (see Krews post above in which he refers to "yet another Jew scam").

 

Some may well use 'Zionism' and 'Judaism' interchangeably, as you suggest. However, anyone with an ounce of brain-matter understands the difference between a political movement, the former and a faith, the latter.

You will also find Jews and others on this forum who either don't know how to differentiate between the two, or conveniently cry 'Jew-hater' simply because the Israeli government's party line is predominantly Zionist in nature and there happens to be a majority of Jews in the Knesset.

That position is no less absurd than calling someone 'anti-Catholic' if he condemns the Italian government, for example, for some wrongdoing.

 

I agree that in a perfect world people would differentiate between individuals and desist from demonising others. But this is not a perfect world. You can imagine that differentiating between anti-semites and persons with political criticism of a system is a subjective matter. As such, there will never be one single truth.

 

Biblical Hebrews/Israelite mutated to quasi/spuedo Jews , are very likely to have been the first people with a recorded history of "demonising " everyone else - read yr bible.

Jews are no better or worse than anyone else.

In terms of acheivements they rank highly but little higher than other ethnicities.

The scots for example lead the world in a range of historical acheivements and remain prevalent in a wide range of features of western society.

Currently germans are the worlds best high tech exporters.

They may think theyre chosen but they would wouldnt they? Just like Mormons think theyre pretty special too.

Israel has all kinds of different children with different parents who have different political leanings. It is thus incorrect to generalize in such a matter. Your argument does certainly apply to some, but not all.

 

Indeed, they were chosen to lead and share the message of God not to keep it to themselves, it is a difficult task not ane easy one.

In the bible, there are many instances of God intervening in favour of the Israeli's, so why does Israel need one of the most advanced war machines on Earth again? Thus, my belief concludes, either there is no God of Israel, no God of the Jews, or if there is or was, the Jewish people have lost favour with their God, because surely if the God saw his chosen people besieged by "evil" nations, he'd simply smite them.....
