On a numerous occasions they proved it; especially when posters were insulting Russian females, they never responded in a 'usual' way and insulted females from the country of the one who initiated troubles.

Sometimes you're a mystery to me,...

I really have difficulty in understanding why you are such an avid supporter of present-day Russia?

I know that Russian posters don't have me in high regard and somehow think I'm a brainwashed West-European young man that somehow thinks Russia, former USSR, communism, etc. was all bad...

They, of course, couldn't be more wrong, e.g. my great-grandfather was a volunteer against Fascist hordes in Spanish Civil War whilst Father Stalin was eating from the same table as Adolf Hilter! As a child, the first two songs I learned were (1) "Sur le pont d'Avignon" and (2) "The Internationale" by my grandfather!

Anyways, it doesn't make sense to be a supporter of uber-capitalistic Russia nowadays! They don't provide free healthcare for their citizens, discriminate on a structural and institutionalized basis against people they deem "unworthy" or "amoral", e.g. homosexuals...

So, what's your beef with Russia?!

 

I have nothing with modern day Russia is just one more country capitalism destroyed.
But unlike many westerns and because I am not xenophobic I dont shiver and think of very white blue eyed communists every time I hear the word Russia.

You are probably right. Nobody asked the population if do we want to join WTO or we don't. Though many people hoped that Georgia will block this joining. The government speaks it is necessary, some economists speak this joining can perniciously affect some branches of the Russian industry. I'm not the economist to judge who are right.

 

As for me, I do not think so. Just sometimes your posts are very specific. But you are interested in the subject, it means you are trying to create own opinion. What is a good thing.

Russia is indeed a very anti-homosexual society.

To truly understand the reasons for that we need to understand the things that influenced Russian culture more than anything else.

Russia is the most Christian country in the world. We talking here about genuine Christianity not various cults and heresies westerners confuse with Christianity due to their ignorance. Therefore Christian morals and values are set deeply in subconscious of Russian people, even those who profess themselves atheists.

Consequently homosexuality is a deviation which is most against the core Christian values.

So answering your question:

While Russia fulfils its spiritual and historic mission it will always be very anti-homosexual.
If however Russians become very tolerant to homosexuals it would indicate that the Russian culture is dead.

Today, despite being governed by traitors, despite intense propaganda of "tolerance", Russian people (as a nation) still retain the core understanding of their choosiness and uniqueness (though most Russians wouldn’t be able to put it in these terms). While the people retain this understanding that formed over 1000 years in numerous wars, homosexuals would always find Russia to be a hostile place. In fact it would be better if both parties (Russian people and homosexuals) parted their ways.
Homosexuals go to the west, they will welcome you and we don’t believe that you have a right to belong to great people of Russia.

 

It's a crap.Although the Russians consider the homosexuality abnormal they are quate tolerant to homosexuals.Nobody cares who with whom sleeps.But they do not like an advertising of sexual relationships and the more those relationships which are considered abnormal.That's why they strongly dislike gay parades and all the buzz about homosexuals.
