Well that depends on the plant, some low light plants are not going to do great under a sky light. I'm glad you did not get the parrot, you have to really have a interest in them, if you dont you would have found it a pain in a short while. You could try a parakeet, a small one. They do not live nearly as long and are not as messy. People do not know it but many can actually be taught to speak. I had a rubber plant in my bedroom when I was single, the darn thing grew into a tree, I swear. No flowers but beautiful just the same, the ladies loved it. One branch was so huge it hung over the bed,,,hahahaha

Depends on the parrot, Quakers are very noisy, and never get two birds. Remember this though, parrots live a real long time, so if you dont like it you will have to give it up to a shop, you wont out live it like a rabbit...LOL, If you have kids they will never let you get rid of it. Parrots are messy too, a lot of cleaning required.
