Born in China, went to middle and high school in ROK, and then undergrad and now grad in USA; I have a contract with a chinese company though; so after I graduate it's two years of mandated service to the company, but that's fine by me!

have any suggested reading? book, essay, pamphlet, etc?

I'm pretty right-wing when it comes to the US, if you haven't read my other posts. But I do strongly believe in Communism in China; success is success, regardless of the name.

Possibly, I certainly wouldn't object to making stronger international ties though whether China and Russia would be the best places to do this I don't know. You're definitely right about the media blackout, the only time I have seen them on the BBC was today's politics show and that was for a very short time, barely anything was said whereas they spent the whole show with the UKIP (*)(*)(*)(*) Farage.

I have serious reservations about them, they seem to be a lot of unison people and unfortunately I think their appeal is likely to lie with the white working class who are some of the same people the BNP might appeal to. Plus I'm actually not all that anti-Europe myself, the EU is (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up of course but I am not convinced that some of the general ideas aren't positive. The greens are too liberal but meh, the elections will be a disaster anyway. There are serious predictions that the top two polling parties will be the tories and UKIP!

No respect here unfortunately either. The No2EU party are not a good party, all their stuff about "free movement of workers" and their emphasis on the British worker and so on all stirke me as being pretty (*)(*)(*)(*) similar to the BNP and the ridiculous "British jobs for British people" slogan. The coms are only backing them because they hate the EU and the no2eu party has the recourses to stand candidates nationwide with them. I might be exagerrating it a bit but no2eu is going nowhere anyway.

I'm thinking of voting Green actually, the Green candidate here is a sensible woman and although I don't necessarily agree with her fully ideologically, she's left wing enough that within the European Parliament as it is she'll get as much good stuff done as a true socialist. Voting Green also has the added benefit of possibly seeing a Green MEP. The SLP are perhaps further left and closer to me in that sense but they're never going to win a seat and I have serious reservations about voting for a Scargill mob. I obviously respect him fighting for the unions and so on but there are issues where I disagree with him, for a start he supports "clean coal" and I can't support that. No2EU have candidates here but there's no way I'll be supporting what is essentially a less obviously nasty version of the BNP. So yeh, I'll probs be voting Green, well either them or the Christian Party - Christian People's Alliance. ;) :D

Of course, I'm about to go off now. One of my mates has a really nice LCD TV, so good for watching Ronaldo showing Messi who's the better player.:-D

Thanks for your rep. What gets me is the criticisms against Hezbollah and Lebanon, so many of them are way off. Did you see Martel's post for example? He attacks Lebanon as some sort of fundamentalist, islamist country where in fact it is one of the most free an liberal countries in the region. It makes no sense to me.

You're really too hard on Strachan, he won three consecutive titles for you. I know Rangers were (*)(*)(*)(*)e but still, he could've done worse.

Oh man you need to watch the inbetweeners, both series are on 4od. I do tend to watch pretty much all comedy but the inbetweeners are so funny it's unreal, I would sy its on a parr with the Peep show though its target audience is a little younger - it's about 6th formers.

I got your PM and just saw your sig, Karl Pilkington! What a guy.
They keep saying that sea levels are rising an all this. It's nowt to do with the icebergs melting, it's because there's too many fish in it. Get rid of some of the fish and the water will drop. Simple. Basic science.

I've just seen Strachan's resigned, kind of inevitable after this season but you might struggle to get a good replacement.

      Lmao, harsh.

Oh yeh, tell me you watch the inbetweeners on C4.:-D

Don't you just love a long summer? Late nights, girls not wearing much and as little work as you like. :D (*)(*)(*)(*) it, I really am spoilt at this age. haha

I got my exams to do first then I don't know what I'll be doing for most of the summer but I'm planning a trip to Portugal late august which should be great.

Dissing United ey? Dangerous talk for a hoops fan, u ain't even gonna win thed SPL this season. ;) U know what's gonna happen don't you, Rangers'll draw and you'll fail to win. :P

I've been great thanks mate, and nicely fueled up to bang my head against a brick wall here again after having a nice break. ;) How you been? Broken up from uni yet?

If there was a Soviet Union today, we would not be having this conversation about plunging into a new war in the Middle East, and the US would not be rampaging around the globe.' - George Galloway mp
