But I suggest that his first sentence is a matter of fact --- certainly financially and economically ; and his second thought was provoking / gentle prodding .

If some of the usual suspects would have their loved ones slaughtered in a 9/11 style attack or perhaps lose a limb or two in a suicide attack maybe, just maybe they would understand the true nature of those radical goons that whey nearly worship. I hope they would come to their senses before that would happen. The news article you posted indicates that the European US (usual suspects) may receive some very poignant lessons in the near future of why we all should condemn ALL terrorism. Nothing like three of four feet of hot human intestines hanging around ones neck to make a point eh? Terrorism is worse that left behind landmines. The guy was a one-off nutcase, he was known to the Police, was on a US immigration "you can't get in" list and the Police are quite clear about what requires to be done in the future to control people who apparently are not acting in league with any terrorist organisation.

I recall another guy who comitted some atrocity, who was know to the Police, was on a UK "you're not getting in" list and that was apparently not picked up on by US authorities. Thus far, no difference between Europe or anywhere else in that we are all required to fight terrorism.

It is serious and it strikes me the Police need to mobilise internationally, improve information sharing and start Policing the internet more closely. It wouldn't be that hard if anyone paid attention and if it's their job and they are taking the taxpayer's dollar, they should be paying attention and doing whatever is required. Pretty sure if someone paid you, you could track a few nutters down forthwith...
