Fox News, it seems to me, reports stuff going on from other parts of the world. Don't see much of that on other news networks.

If it weren't for the "Right Wing News Sources"

We wouldn't have been told about gruber and all the lies on healthcare.

We wouldn't have heard about the IRS being used as a political weapon.

I could go on for days with examples of left wing bias where they either

omit the truth or they twist it.

People on the left don't want to hear the truth, in fact they despise it

because it never fits their agenda, thus the hate for Fox and Rush

What is Fox doing that others don't do?


Well of about ten media sources, according to right wingers, it is the only right wing media source. Therefore, if you add up the viewership of the other nine sources, you would see that Fox's numbers fall below the sum of the other medias. This means that the majority of viewers prefer the so called "liberal" point of view.

That is, assuming the right wing pundits are correct.

Viewers that tune in to cable news stations are there specifically to watch the news, network news on the other hand is usually 30-60 minutes between regular broadcast television shows.
And the fact millions of Americans do not have cable.

You've nit the nail on the head! The vast majority of Americans are middle of the road people who are far more concerned with caring for the families, putting roofs over their heads and food on the table, than any news that does not personally affect them.

While polls and other surveys give numbers, I bet that most of it is simply having the Boob Tube turned on to the news and not actually watching it.

Very impressive indeed. What gets me are the people that hate Fox and seem to know all the reasons they are so successful, all of which are negative reasons according to them..

If that's the case then why have so many tried to copy Fox and still failed? Could it be they are on the right track with the wrong ideology?

Here in Montreal, I can watch many news channels by subscribing to a package, but FOX is not one of them.

If I want to watch FOX News, I have to pay a separate subscription as it is portrayed by suppliers as an entertainment channel and not a news channel.

 

Maybe on cable, but not at the TV Network level. They bury Fox News Channel with their numbers, especially during the nightly news shows.

If you look at CBS, NBC and ABC's numbers just for the prime time news shows alone, the top out well over FOX by over 25 million viewers compared to Fox's paltry 1.7 million viewers. Cable news cannot compete with the traditional over-the-air networks.

turn you TV on at nightly news time...then flip back and forth between those pretty stations you like. With the exception of their last story, all of the news is the same ,parroted between the three of them..... almost word for word..except for their last segment...and you want us to watch that crap and call it good?
Tell us why Fox picked up the Gruber stories ten days before your beloved news stations and then, it got a 5 second spot on all three MSM (main stream media)
