This video and story comes from the Baltimore Sun that states how Fox, on the night of the midterms, not only beat CNN and MSNBC, but AGC, CBS and NBC. And among viewers 25 – 54 years of age.

The question is; what is Fox doing that the others are not?

Well, he doesn't explain it but I think it's simply a matter of truly being more “Fair and Balanced” than the others.

Ratings and a video are provided @ http://www.baltimoresun.com/enterta...ominance-demands-analysis-20141117-story.html

[The bold is for all you Libs who always rant that only over-the-hill Whites watch Fox.]

None of the major US media outlets can rightly be called "fair and balanced"

Fox can not even call itself news ??

First rule of journalism school = "Thou shalt not editorialize" Fox is mostly editorializing.

While this might make for good entertainment, similar to the National Enquirer which is also popular, it is definitely not "news".

Sad commentary indeed that folks rely on the National Enquirer of News as their dominant news source.

Ratings mean nothing to anyone but advertisers. They are not a measure of the quality of the content, but merely a reflection of who is watching what at any given time. McDonald's proudly boast that they sell more burgers than anyone else. Personally I prefer a decent steak to mystery meat...perhaps Fox viewers should learn to be a little more discerning in their tastes. Either that or stay dumb and uninformed.

Actually far more people watch the Network nightly news.......

the reason people watch Fox is so they know what to think. To think Fox is not biased is stupid.
Those numbers are for election night.....a midterm......one that young people weren't interested in.

During the week, NBC and CBC beat Fox by nearly 1 million viewers in the 25- 54 demo.... so.........

The condition of more people watching Fox on the night of the midterms jives with electoral turn out.

On average 36% of the electorate showed up to vote.
In some states less than 20%.

Fox does a good job of spreading outrage and fear and getting the base revved up.
So they turn out to vote. But old, disgruntled white folks always show up to vote.

Conservatives are obsessive watchers of cable news.

It's no surprise that a cable news channel that grossly slants everything to the right attracts more viewers.

Fox news has a right wing bias.

Anyone who says different is lying.

both are published. Usually in the local rags. and editorials where and are the foundation of news. But we were talking about editorials.............
You obviously don't know much about the history of newspapers or you wouldn't make such a claim........

It is clear that you do not understand my claim. Editorializing extends to more than just newspapers.

I already told you the first rule of journalism school. "Thou shalt not editorialize".

First you might want to figure out what this means prior to claiming that I don't know what I am talking about.

the first rule of journalism is to present the story with facts and truth....back up the claim.
you claimed I didn't know what I'm talking about. go back and read some of the papers written during each election. Editorials are usually the thing that drives voters.

The so-called Mainstream Medias are too politically correct and lie non-stop 24/7. FOX is nice, I like it, but even FOX is sometimes too left for me.

Saw it first hand once when Pat Buchannan ran in 2000. CSPAN covered his whole speech and the preparation for the speech and it was apparent he had a bad cold. Watched one of the network channels that night and the reporter stated that he choked up during a question, implying that he had trouble answering the question when the fact was that he was dealing with a cold. That is how the propaganda is done, implying false impressions.

CSPAN is a lying communist propagandist, nothing more.
All leftists and communists lie if they cover speeches or books of Pat Buchanan.

let's see. I tuned in tonight against my better judgment. ABC,CBS, NBC.....I got almost the same exact story about everything in all three stations. Most lines with the story was damned near word for word. (except for the last segment)
I then tuned into CNN and MSNBC and imagine my lack of surprise, they too were parroting the evening news.
    However, Fox wasn't parroting anyone.
And that is why your favorite news sources are falling through the floor.
10 days before your favorite stations carried the story about Gruber. Fox was all over it from hour 1.
You sound like you want to be lied to...almost

Bypassing the usual suspects and their leftwing generated propaganda bullet points flung out whenever it's reported that more and more citizens are turning to Fox for their primary news coverage, I suspect that it's simply a case of gradually becoming aware on a subconscious basis as to just how left-slanted the old broadcast networks have become. The brother of the president of all of CBS works on Obama's staff. NBC (at the very least) co-owns MSNBC. ABC director of its political news division pretty much sounds like a White House spokesperson for Obama whenever he opens his mouth. CNN is a total joke and MSNBC is -- well -- even more of a joke than CNN.

So people are turning more and more to FOX NEWS because there at least they are more likely to hear both sides of every story. Granted the right-handed side is emphasized but still a credible effort to present the left-handed side as universally hawked by ABC, CBS, NBC/MSNBC, and CNN is also made by FOX. The right handed side on those other networks and cable news jokes? Not hardly, and certainly not along the lines that FOX presents it.

So if you want to watch a good cross section of ALL of the pertinent news and perspectives on the same citizens now realize that FOX is the place to go.

People watch Fox for the same reason people reach for a soda when thirsty.
