This should read John Kerry, who tried to persuade the Iranians, even though he's in NO official capacity. Unlike Flynn who was appointed NSA advisor.

And not only gets legal fees but pain and suffering and damages. The man had to mortgage his house to pay legal cost after the Mueller office and those FBI officials ruined him financially and then tried to extort him by threatening his son.

The FBI has had the full transcript all along what crime did they charge him with that occurred in that conversation? They didn't discuss them in details, already cited the Mueller report in other threads which say what was said. And the fact is had they discussed them in details that was not a crime, it was his job to discuss the incoming administrations policies with foreign dignitaries. It's called TRANSITION for a reason.

    incorrect.

He is a patriot that is getting off because the FBI acted corruptly, CORRUPTLY on behalf of DEMOCRATS.

This is JUSTICE. And dems are witnessing their corruption fall apart first hand.

It's a good question, and the answer is that the DOJ is not exactly "dropping"the case -- that's a street term being amplified by the media. What the DOJ is actually doing is "moving" (legally requesting) that the case be dismissed. The final decision is to dismiss or not is up to the judge. So we may be facing a little more drama.

Here is the guts of the motion, or request, if you will:

After a considered review of all the facts and circumstances of this case, including newly discovered and disclosed information appended to the defendant’s supplemental pleadings, ECF Nos. 181, 188-190,
    1
the Government has concluded that the interview of Mr. Flynn was untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn—a no longer justifiably predicated investigation that the FBI had, in the Bureau’s own words, prepared to close because it had yielded an “absence of any
derogatory information.” Ex. 1 at 4, FBI FD-1057 “Closing Communication” Jan. 4, 2017 (emphases added). The Government is not persuaded that the January 24, 2017 interview was conducted with a legitimate investigative basis and therefore does not believe Mr. Flynn’s statements were material even if untrue. Moreover, we not believe that the Government can prove either the relevant false statements or their materiality beyond a reasonable doubt.

But Trump is sure to pardon him immediately if the judge refuses to grant the motion.

The Logan Act was an absurd desperate they didn't have anything other avenue so whip out the Logan Act. Flynn was talking policy with foreign dignitaries as was his job. The Russia ambassadore tried to bring up the sanctions, a MAJOR foreign policy move and threat to a foreign country just weeks before he was leaving office and dumping that into Trumps lap not because Obama was a go after Russia President and stood up to them during his Presidency. He was too scared to face Putin so he waited until he was leaving office so HE wouldn't have to deal with the results. Flynn blew him off telling him you shouldn't escalate and retaliate. What was wrong with that advice Obama was TRYING to get them to escalate and relatiate.

HE WAS NOT CHARGED WITH A LOGAN ACT VIOLATION...............................what don't you understand here?

Why are you not outraged at what these high level FBI officials engaged in? ALL American citizens should be whether you are a Trump administration supporter or not.

Oh you lost on this one legally and ethically so you'll just smear US Attorney's Jensen and Shea and Durham as "shopped prosecutors" and they are presenting a false case?

they are already saying this is even more proof of the corruption of the DOJ, so no, they are incapable of embarrassment. What the voters will think, I don't know. But the Trump campaign is going to be shouting this and the Tara Reade controversy all over the media. They can afford it. So the voters will decide. I have no idea what will happen.

Respectfully, you do not know more than I do about our justice system. That's all.

Embarrassment, most likely. He may have thought the actions were innocent, but by the time he was asked, he knew that a minimum it looked bad and furthered the stupid and baseless collusion narrative.

Yes and Judge Sullivan was already facing the contempt of the court by the prosecutors for not turning over all the evidence to Flynn's defense and now these newly release documents as to these FBI agents motivations and lack of any legal reason to have gone and interviewed Flynn for a criminal investigation. He can't really force the DOJ to prosecute either, the DOJ says they are dropping further adjudication of the issue. And as I hear former Whitewater prosecutor Robert Wray say today Flynn cannot be reprosecuted either as it would be a double jeopardy so he's clear.
