Not everyone lives in a heavily populated urban area, so no, that's not going to happen.

    Fact remains:
-You- are responsible for the means necessary to exercise your rights.
Why should someone else be forced to pay for you to have the means to exercise those rights?

You should, neither should you put onerous stipulation for people to except use their free right. Otherwise, yea you are suppressing the vote.

Neither requiring you to pay your way to the polling place, nor the requirement that you have an ID when you get there, are onerous -- they fall under "the usual burdens of voting.”

Any decent citizen who wants to see this country prosper should have no problem paying.

Man .. I'm starting to think that getting out of bed is an outrageous obligation forced on me by society. Can someone lobby Govt to have life brought to me on a platter, please?

And you can't get a decent coffee in small country towns. Or your roof repaired before the next rain.

Why do you folk think that if a person looks a certain way, they should be feted through life like some disabled aristocrat?

Let me guess, in your day you had to walk 20 miles uphill though 6ft of snow to vote.

Yeah, that was pretty funny. They want to facilitate one group (no doubt based on colour), while ignoring the greater distance battles of others.

No, I've always had it easy. Just the usual work and save hard in order to buy a cheap car with cash (too poor to risk finance), then arose on voting morning at 5am to drive the 20kms to the polling booth early enough to beat the long queues, hunt around for 20 minutes looking for a parking spot within walking distance, then waited in queue anyway, then walked the 2kms back to car and drove the 20kms home.

And you shouldn't have to do that.

Not only do I believe an I'D should be required but it should be issued by the State of County the individual resides in. And they should vote in the Precinct they reside in or a early voting location provided them( in my County that is any early voting locAtion.

I have been voting for 48 years with no issue

Every voting place has been staffed by both parties, lines formed by alphabet(last name) and you show proof of residence and they have you sign by your name on their list of residents.
If you receive any form of federal, state, county assistance; you have an I.D. And to get a driver's license or state issued I'D you need only to show your birth certificate and or Ssa card.

So... no registration or license should be required for Firearms?

In order to demonstrate that this is mandatory rather than voluntary 'onerousness', you will need to prove that a particular law or laws compel people to live in locations not convenient to services they want to access.

Defunding the police, allowing illegal immigration, and gun control policies kill people. All because of a ballot.

Voter ID is fine - if it's a national ID, administered by the SSA, and free to all citizens. Nut up or shaddup.
