With advice and consent of the Senate. Withhold advice or consent is the Senates answer and is not unconstitutional.

You are asking a question with an assumed and/or false premise.

Demonstrate the veracity of the premise, and if it's remotely in the ballpark of reality, maybe I'll look at the question. Depends on how well you prove your premise.

Modest criticism does not equal 'attack' per se. Only those who have self esteem problems see legitimate (especially moderate) criticism as an attack.

Since your conclusion of 'lack of confidence' arose from a falsehood, that conclusion is, therefore, also false.

Only in liberal minds. 26% liberal vs 36% conservative.

In advance, en masse, it is unconstitutional. The sequence is President nominates, senate gives advise and consent. That sequential order is stated in the constitution.

It does not say 'withold advice and consent, before all nominations, en masse, as a policy.

that is unconstitutional. No way in hell would the founding fathers have accepted that as 'okay'.

Sorry but it’s not. The only thing that democrats have done about it was to make it easier for Trump to appoint judges.

More people are voting with democrats in presidential elections than they are voting for republicans.

Who cares how people answer poll questions. Show me how they vote.

Very VERY few people would have some compelling long term reason that they (or someone on their behalf) cannot organise an ID. It's an absurd proposition, to base universal regulations upon that miniscule number.

    Your sig:

We hear more about Biden's favorite ice cream flavors than the fact he can't answer basic questions

Trump was asked his opinion on gay marriage, this is a quote:

"It's like in golf... A lot of people - I don't want this to sound trivial - but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive... it's weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can't sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist."

This is a quote from Putin about Biden:

(CNN)Russian President Vladimir Putin praised US President Joe Biden Thursday, describing him as a "professional" who is "completely knowledgeable on all issues," according to a Kremlin transcript of Putin's televised remarks.

"Mr. Biden is a professional, and you need to be very careful when working with him so as not to miss something," Putin said during a videoconference meeting with graduates from Russia's Graduate School of Public Administration. "He himself does not miss a thing, I assure you, and this was absolutely clear to me."

"Let me say it again: he is focused, he knows what he wants to achieve and does it very skilfully, and you can instantly sense it," the Russian President added.

Perhaps you can squash my "lack of confidence" claim by answering the question instead of dodging.

I dunno, the ACLU researched this and claims there is enough that could affect the outcome of an election.
See, what some states are doing is unreasonable, like for students not accepting their out of state ID. REpubs do that because
they like to put more obstacles in the path of getting IDs, and college kids tend to vote democrat.

Your opinion is just based on your feeling about it.

    Source ACLU;

Voter ID Laws Deprive Many Americans of the Right to Vote
    • Millions of Americans Lack ID. 11% of U.S. citizens – or more than 21 million Americans – do not have government-issued photo identification.1
    • Obtaining ID Costs Money. Even if ID is offered for free, voters must incur numerous costs (such as paying for birth certificates) to apply for a government-issued ID.
      • Underlying documents required to obtain ID cost money, a significant expense for lower-income Americans. The combined cost of document fees, travel expenses and waiting time are estimated to range from $75 to $175.2
      • The travel required is often a major burden on people with disabilities, the elderly, or those in rural areas without access to a car or public transportation. In Texas, some people in rural areas must travel approximately 170 miles to reach the nearest ID office.3
    • Voter ID Laws Reduce Voter Turnout. A 2014 GAO study found that strict photo ID laws reduce turnout by 2-3 percentage points,4 which can translate into tens of thousands of votes lost in a single state.5
    Voter ID Laws Are Discriminatory
    • Minority voters disproportionately lack ID. Nationally, up to 25% of African-American citizens of voting age lack government-issued photo ID, compared to only 8% of whites.6
    • States exclude forms of ID in a discriminatory manner. Texas allows concealed weapons permits for voting, but does not accept student ID cards. Until its voter ID law was struck down, North Carolina prohibited public assistance IDs and state employee ID cards, which are disproportionately held by Black voters. And until recently, Wisconsin permitted active duty military ID cards, but prohibited Veterans Affairs ID cards for voting.
    • Voter ID laws are enforced in a discriminatory manner. A Caltech/MIT study found that minority voters are more frequently questioned about ID than are white voters.7
    • Voter ID laws reduce turnout among minority voters. Several studies, including a 2014 GAO study, have found that photo ID laws have a particularly depressive effect on turnout among racial minorities and other vulnerable groups, worsening the participation gap between voters of color and whites.8
Voter ID Requirements are a Solution in Search of a Problem
    • In-person fraud is vanishingly rare. A recent study found that, since 2000, there were only 31 credible allegations of voter impersonation – the only type of fraud that photo IDs could prevent – during a period of time in which over 1 billion ballots were cast.9
    • Identified instances of “fraud” are honest mistakes. So-called cases of in-person impersonation voter “fraud” are almost always the product of an elections worker or a voter making an honest mistake, and that even these mistakes are extremely infrequent.10
    • Voter ID laws are a waste of taxpayer dollars. States incur sizeable costs when implementing voter ID laws, including the cost of educating the public, training poll workers, and providing IDs to voters.
      • Texas spent nearly $2 million on voter education and outreach efforts following passage of its Voter ID law.11
      • Indiana spent over $10 million to produce free ID cards between 2007 and 2010.12

If you are implying dead people are voting in sufficient numbers to alter the outcome of an election, please provide evidence.

Ah, but you can't, you are just spewing meaningless rhetoric.

All the dictators know that lavishing praise on Trump is a good way to get concessions from him, so he gives Trump a few nice words, not much more.

But, for Biden, he gave a long well thought out assessment of Biden's professional and intellectual acuity. He did that so the world would know that Biden is no pushover, because if the world buys into the fox news 'he's a clueless codger' narrative, they will expect Putin to have an easy time rolling Biden over. But he knows that is not going to be easy, he wants everyone to know what he is really up against,

That is why we know what he said about Biden is authentic, and what he said about Trump was to flatter him for concessions because he's an easy mark.

WOW, you gave us an assessment of Biden being an easy mark.

He did not lavish pet Biden for nothing. It impressed Biden.

Put Biden like this. He is trying to rock climb at a rating of less than 5.0 where Trump works at 5.15 or higher.

Typically, climbing grades do fall into a rudimentary scale of difficulty. A 5.0 to 5.7 is considered easy, 5.8 to 5.10 is considered intermediate, 5.11 to 5.12 is hard, and 5.13 to 5.15 is reserved for a very elite few.May 4, 2020
