There have already been some that have tried to argue that point to the judges. As far as I know, it hasn't worked in their favor at all and most were denied bail.

The esquire piece is just an opinion, and the reasoning employed is flawed.

    For the Daily Beast,

According to Reed Galen, a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, told the Daily Beast that the Priorities USA findings made sense to him.

“We were pretty clear from the get-go about the lanes of our strategic outreach. The first one, which made the most noise, was for the audience of one. That was the stuff directed at Trump, the campaign, the White House, and the family. The stuff we knew would distract them, make them angry, make them fight internally, make him fire Brad Parscale, sue us, whatever it was so their attention was pointed elsewhere,” Galen said.

So, apparently the Lincoln Project's strategy was similar to Putin's strategy to install Trump. Putin wanted Trump president because he believe Trump would weaken America. Lincoln Project's objective was to weaken them, as well.

The benefits of that strategy would be difficult to measure, but I'm glad they were on the scene doing something about it. They were successful in running campaigns for conservative presidents so, from where I sit, we need all the help we can get, whether it's actual votes, or causing the opponents campaign to be on the defensive, put them off guard, cause them chaos in the ranks, etc, it all helps.

Wow, you went full circle with one. doesn’t matter, The grifter Project literally didn’t get Biden any votes, and everyone who supported them are a little bit more scummy for it. The democrat party literally didn’t need them. And, now they’re still grifting off dumb people still willing to give them money. Good luck with that.

January 6th was just a protest that got out of hand and was escalated unnecessarily by a few over enthusiastic cops that resulted in the tragic death of a relatively innocent young woman at the hands of men that are supposed to "serve and protect". There were a few broken windows.

9/11 resulted in the death of 3000 people a $22 billion in damages at the hands of religious zealots. It is forever engrained within the psyche of the generation that witnessed it, much like Pearl Harbor and The Kennedy Assassination.

While 1/6 was terrible due to the death of Ashli Babbitt, it was no where comparable in scale or impact of 9/11. To compare them is insulting to the memory of the innocent men and women and to the First Responders that died that day. It is the worst kind of political hyperbolism, intellectually dishonest and should not be executed by anyone of good conscience. It's an atrocity just mentioning them is the same breath.

I disagree with your characterization, and I welcome their help. No sweat off of our backs.

The only grifter in this equation is Donald Trump and his enablers.

Wait. So you did tours prior to 9/11?

    Why?

    It was so stable there.

You said 9/11 destabilized the middle east, which would presume it was stable.

I think Flynn is what's his name... the just got banned. You know, that crazy dude. Why can't I think of his username right now. Somebody check IP addresses.

Look up what ever IP address you want, James Bond, I could care less, and if this is your way of trying to save face, that’s pretty pathetic. But, you do what you gotta do, boo.

You seem to have a hard time focusing, so I’m going try in vain one more time, and after that you can kick rocks.
    1. 9/11 happened
    2. Axis of evil speech, full of lies about Iraq’s connection to Al Qaeda, and how Iraq wouldn’t be allowed to give terrorist some of that big supply of WMDs they supposedly had.
    3. Bush Doctrine, which clearly states that the United States will use preemptive military strikes to prevent another 9/11.
    4. 9/11 used as justification to topple saddam. Do you understand the fact that if there is no 9/11 then there’s no invasion of Iraq. Is this to hard for you to understand? After Iraq, it’s Syria, then there Yemen. There’s pushing Iraq into the Iranian sphere of influence, then tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia start to rise. Now do you need me to provide you a definition of destabilization, As well. I don’t know any way better to explain the domino affect 9/11 started. But, I don’t think it’s going to matter, because the way you have tried to counter my argument have all beeen borderline dishonest anyway.. Now go cry to the mods, or put me on ignore like you already threatened to do, or whatever makes you feel good about yourself.

Actually, a more insidious action than 9/11.

I dont have an issue with any of that, I have an issue with saying it destabilized the region.

That region hasn't been stable for eons.

Edit: oh, and you need to calm down. All your aggression and attacks just makes you look desperate. It has zero effect on me. Just filler words.

Before the intervention in Iraq, there was no power vacuum allowing Jihadist nut jobs from around the globe to establish any foothold, which allowed them to unleash carnage.
Before the US intervention in Iraq, there was no open sectarian civil war, or sectarian cleansing..

So if you’re under the impression that there was no difference between the Middle East prior to the US led invasion, and the Middle East immediately after the US led invasion, I don’t know what else to tell you, and it seems we are at a impasse. Either way, I have no wish to continue some flame war with you on this issue, that has obviously turned personal.
