If this is how you have a discussion with other people, I'll just put you on ignore now to save the headache of a rational discussion.

I dont think you can defend your statements without personal attacks.

To claim 9/11 was responsible for destabilizing the middle east is ridiculously inaccurate

Common sense isn't all that common.
Their strategy worked. They've got people talking about it.

Maybe we should focus more on teaching children to be analytical and critical thinkers instead of indoctrinating them with cliquish "us vs. them" agendas.

You live in a alternate reality if you think otherwise.
These are accepted facts, now push that ignore button before you embarrass yourself further.

No, I'm saying Gulf War II was planned all along, and was not dependent on 9/11 to start. Gulf War II (further) destabilized the Middle East. Gulf War II "was the catalyst for destabilization in the Middle East, and 20 years of unending war that consumed over 7,000 US military personnel, another 30,000 seriously wounded, over 200,000 Iraqis that we know of died, who knows how many Iraqis were seriously wounded, 240,000 Afghani civilian deaths, and a humanity catastrophe in the form of a refugee crisis."

Your assertion, and your flaming poutrage, are utter bullshit.

    Just sayin'... [IMG]

That’s nonsense. Bush literally used 9/11 to justify the invasion of Iraq. If 9/11 didn't happen, you think Bush was going to get that invasion he wanted, of course not. Clinton admin was literally pondering regime change.,Why do you think they passed on the opportunity? Do I need to literally copy and paste Bush’s speech for you?

So just to be clear, prior to 9/11 and Bush's Operation Iraqi Freedom, the Middle East was stable?

Exactly right! They did things like these against Obama and Republicans ate every bit of it. It doesn't work with Democrats that well.

The Lincoln project is the last gasp of the Neocon movement. They hated Trump as much if not more than the Dems, if for no other reason than the fact that he revealed to them just how little the Republican base actually thought if them.

Nobody ever said that the middle east was stable, What don't you grasp about how we made it worse, by destabilizing Iraq?
Should i get some construction paper, and crayons and draw you a picture?

I see when you disagree you attack the person you disagree with, but thanks for the lecture.
    My points:
Those that would morn those who died on 9-11 should also morn those who died from the virus by taking measures to limit the deaths.
Those that love this country should be aware that there is more than one threat to its well being; one can not reject the other sides threat while embracing one's own
If you would like to discuss my hypocracy please point it out. Don't make stereotypical assumptions about me.
The problems in the US cities are of real concerns and I reject violence as a political tool, but the difference is that January 6 was an attempt to overturn an election and change our government the others were not.

If you would like to discuss issues I am ready to do so, but the discussion should be about issues not about your opinion of me.

    Compared to.....
    Donald Trump
    Roger Stone
    Paul Manafort
    Michael Flynn
    George Nader
    Allan Weisselberg,

Et al, most of whom were convicted, I'd say they are veritable choir boys by comparison.

You might not like the Lincoln Project's tactics, but they are using the conventional conservative campaign playbook that has been used successfully in the past, by Reagan, The Bush's, and Trump, to beat dems, but this time, they are using it against Trump, and they fight to win, so the thing is, they are fighting against Trump, and that what makes it right, it's against Trump, and they fight to win. They don't have a good conservative candidate, currently, there is only the possibility that Trump could, indeed, be reelected, and they are united to keep him from gaining office.

As long as they win, and prevent Trump from being reelected, that is a good thing. I really don't give a damn whether anyone likes their methods, but know this, their methods work, these guys know what they are doing, and they are largely responsible for tipping the scales against Trump.

I have no problem with the Lincoln project, that is, until the day Trump is permanently out of the picture, and these guys go back to helping other conservative candidates.

After 9/11, something we now call the Bush doctrine began to show up in the president’s speeches. Its principles went more or less like this:

    • Don’t wait to be attacked; take pre-emptive action.

    • Don’t be afraid to act unilaterally.
The last time the U.S. went into Iraq, in the Gulf War, it was to defend a country under attack. America was part of a coalition of nearly 40 allies. Some American officials at the time—like Paul Wolfowitz at the Defense Department—wanted regime change in Iraq. But that wasn’t the U.N’s mission—so it didn’t happen.

A decade later, influential people inside the Bush administration thought Saddam Hussein being “against” the United States was reason enough to overthrow him. But the public, Congress, the U.N., and potential allies—they all needed more. And the administration wasn’t yet rejecting the need for international support, even if it was headed that way. So it needed that casus belli, a cause for war serious enough to bring all those groups on board.

    • There should only be one superpower in the world.

    • And there are sides.

The Iraq war would be the first test of those principles.
The 9/11 attacks only increased the administration’s desire to do something about Iraq. If Iraq had been involved in the attacks, launching a war on Saddam would count as self-defense. That would be as clear-cut a casus belli as you could ask for.

Some members of the administration—most prominently Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, and their deputies—started trying to connect 9/11 and Iraq almost immediately. Green remembers Cheney coming to Langley to hear the CIA’s assessment.

Cheney hated the briefing,” she said. “The bottom line was we didn’t think that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. And he believed the opposite.”

Read the rest if you want.
Bush used 9/11 to justify. When the CIA wouldn't completely cook the books enough to make a link between 9/11 and Iraq, so they started their own Iraq working group.
It doesn’t matter Bush and co wanted to get rid of Saddam before 9/11, but they used 9/11 as a justification, so some folks need to do themselves a favor and look up what catalyst means.
    Ill save you some time.

Wow, so just because they got rich grifting off the left and didn't go to jail like trump’s cronies, they’re choir boys. Way to raise the bar.

    Heh, yeah, "Trunt acolytes."

More than half of Democrats believed Bush knew

More than half of Democrats, according to a neutral survey, said they believed Bush was complicit in the 9/11 terror attacks.

Agreed but I am not sure children are the problem as far as critical thinking goes. I see a lot of adults that thrive on the "us vs them" conflict.

These con artist were literally not needed to beat trump, since they literally has no impact on the 2020 race at all. All they did was laugh all the way to the bank after exploiting the fears of suburban wine moms.
