That's my point, ChristianSoldier. If we didn't set these people up with those silly popularity contests and labels (ie. jocks, princess, nerd, etc.) it wouldn't turn into adults acting like you mention.

Look at Trump. He is so disconnected from any sense of reality that he took a "joy ride" around the hospital putting two SS officers at risk when he had COVID. He crashed some people's wedding reception in FL with his whining. Nobody sane does that kind of thing. He's like 900 years old so he's set in his ways but if somebody had b!tch slapped him decades ago we wouldn't all be trapped in some jacked up version of "The Truman Show" watching him self-destruct in public.

Alex Jones believed in a conspiracy theory on everything, including that NASA had child slaves on Mars. So your comment does zip to explain why at one time, most Democrats actually bought in to 9/11 conspiracy theories. You seem pretty far left and therefore gullible enough to buy into some conspiracy theories. Do you mean to tell me that you never bought into that back in the day?

Well these are traditional Republicans that understand how the Trump base got to where it is today. Heck, they helped it to get here before the Trump follower was born. They are fighting fire with fire as they are well aware that the Democrats simply can't do what's necessary. All helping hands on deck to save America from it's self.

50% of those who are members of either political party. Jones for all his faults is an equal opportunity asshat. At some point in his life Jones discovered that even crazy people have money and he's been fleecing them ever since.

It was an attempt to disrupt the joint session going on inside the Capitol, overseeing the counting of the certified elector vote from the states and the District of Columbia. Senator Cruz introduced a motion for a ten day delay in the count. IF (very unlikely) the motion had carried, a National Commission to audit the entire election would have been appointed, although it isn't clear what powers they would have held or what they could have done in ten days. More likely, the pro-Trump people would have tried to find someway to convince the States to recall enough electoral votes to result in a tie in the electoral college. That would have thrown the election to the House. Although the House is controlled by Democrats, in such a case (the resolution of a tied election), each state has an equal vote. Since approximately 30 states are Republican controlled, the count would have gone to the Republicans, and Donal Trump.

That process was a long shot...unlikely to succeed in itself, but enough to let Trump live another day, in hopes of doing something else. The disruption of the joint session itself is against the law and open to possible prosecution for sedition.

Oh yeah...the Cruz motion failed, as expected. After they reassembled at 8 PM, they continued the count and it was over sometime after 3 AM the next morning.

Unfortunately, had the President insisted his supporters leave the Capitol, as soon as he was aware of the riot, it's possible that they could have finished earlier and that the Babbitt woman who was shot trying to break into the Speaker's Lobby, would have been spared.

Their TV ads were some of the most compelling ads against Trump during the campaign.

You simply do not know what you are talking about.

Who cares, it's not about art, it's about beating Trump, and that they did.

    Get over it.

The only grifter in this equation is Donald Trump and his associates.

Ive already proved that the grifter project didn't even move the needle in favor of Biden, and you don't care that they ripped off other content creators.
You compromised what ever integrity you had for nothing. Good job.

They're cut from the same cloth as trump.
Wilson, and Shmidt were behind some of the most scuzzy smears on Democrats before trump came along..
Wilson was literally broke before trump entered the primaries, now he's worth millions. So that tells you pretty much what his motivations were all about.
In 2019 the co-founder, and creepiest of them all John Weaver filed a FARA (Foreign Agent) form that he was a lobbyist for a subsidiary of Russian Government owned Rosatom on May 10, 2019. So after the russia hysteria he helped gin up, he started working for the Russians.
Democrats didn’t need these creeps, to beat trump. And yet, the establishment chose to associate with them, and so called liberals threw piles of money at them.

I see your point. That's really messed up. I knew there was a reason I hate politics and have tried to keep a wide berth. I joined here and another forum because I want to be better informed now that I have children.

You know those career planning tests they give to help people decide on a college major and what they can do with specific degrees? I imagine that if we went back in time to see all of the test scores for the "swamp creatures" they would all have something like "serial killer" or "politician" or "used car salesman". Well, a politician is a used car salesman (with better clothes). I just hope it's not contagious. ;-)

I think it took somebody as horrible trump getting elected to show how insane our politics really is.

You may have a point. This is definitely a complex issue well beyond my ability to solve. If I understand you correctly, your premise is to better train and educate the children with the hope the would lead to intelligent critical thinkers when they are adults. I think maybe if we teach our children good values through example it MAY work, I am just not as certain that education, critical thinking, makes that much difference. Trump himself was educated at the Wharton School of Business an ivy league University. I am sure Trump is a fairly intelligent person. I am sure his children are highly educated too at every point of their lives. I speak to people on this forum and others like reddit that all have impressive education backgrounds, degrees and professional designations yet they still exhibit extremely tribal behavior. People that turn every argument or discussion into those liberals, socialist, conservatives, trumpers etc... I have people calling me out for making things about race or being anti republican laws when I did no such thing or say anything at all about being anti laws or even bring up race of racism (And that was just yesterday). In many ways I am fascinated by the behavior and I often try hard to understand but I have no answers. I never understand the need to be a conservative or a progressive a democrat or a republican and the need to strongly identify with being in one of those buckets.

Slightly different...I think the 9/11 terrorists were genuinely trying to destroy the Capitol. Whereas, the domestic terrorists on January 6th, were just trying to seize control of the system and genuinely believed that the system had wronged them. A few may have wanted to bring it all down, but no they didn't want to destroy the building, instead wanting to "stop" what they perceived as "the steal."

I think once the individual trials begin, more than a few will testify that they thought they were doing what the President had asked them to do.
