What is being cited is demographics. Demographics are more than skin color. For example, quoting from Thomas Sowell's book ethnic America, West Indians were much more frugal, hard-working, and entrepreneurial. Their children worked harder and outperformed native black children in school. West Indians in the United States had lower fertility rates and lower crime rates than either black or white Americans… American Negroes called them 'black Jews.'" (Pg. 218-219)

I am responding against the reality of widespread buffoonery. If you step into my line of fire you are bound to get "done" whether you deserve it or not.

It can be traced directly back to the NRA disinformation campaign - and that is not just me saying this - this is well recognised. Look at just this thread where research supporting the idea that more guns = more gun deaths is dismissed out of hand because the NRA has been selling “More guns less crime” ever since John Lott spread his book of fiction free on the internet

Fine. I will avoid your "line of fire" AKA strawman arguments and trolling by placing you on my ignore list.

Yes. It is very disheartening to witness a population that can so easily be coaxed into believing such nonsense. I say “easily” but that’s probably not really true. It must have taken some time to condition citizens to believe that “suicide bombers are cowards” and "if you are not with us then you must be against us” and the standard, "Even an idiot knows ....." fill in the blank such as " ... Saddam has WMD's". So the ‘colour of skin idiocy’ and NRA “more guns = fewer shootings” lunacy falls on fertile soil indeed.

As I am absolutely certain that you are at this very moment taking a "peek" at what my response is I can tell you that your ignore list doesn't cause me the slightest palpitation. :bored:

The NRA is falling apart between over funding the GOP and some predatory money management practices it is in deep doo doo and I could not be happier

Strangely the weekly “I saved muhself with muh gun” stories have dried up

    upload_2022-2-22_17-24-40.jpeg

This was a classic because it embedded the idea that someone with a gun was automatically a “good guy”

With your Myth #2 mentioning both a "bad guy with a gun" and "a good guy with a gun" how does it embed the idea that someone with a gun is automatically a good guy?

Since you are missing the weekly "guns save lives" episodes:

An outstanding question Daniel. I have no answer. I think in order to get an answer we need to look to science, medicine and society and not look at gun control as cure for all the deaths. The problem to me appears to be people and not an inanimate object.

My hope is to present facts. Gun death numbers, when looked at closely, are quite interesting. To me it is not so much the gun or the death but the who and the why; who is dying and why are they dying? Reading my copy of the CDC National Vital Statistics Report Vol. 70, No. 8, dated July 26, 2021, gives some interesting insight.

The data shows there were 23,941 suicides with a firearm out of a total of 47,511 suicides. White males kill themselves, with a gun, at a higher rate than Black or Hispanic males. White females kill themselves, with firearms, at a higher rate than Black or Hispanic females. Firearm suicide is significantly higher for males than for females in every racial/ethnic group. Why do males kill themselves at a higher rate than females? Why do White males kill themselves at a higher rate than males from other racial groups? How do guns play a part in these numbers?

The data also shows there were 14,414 homicides with a firearm out of a total of 19,141 homicides. Male homicides, like male suicides, are still extremely disproportionate when looking at the male/female rate in any give group. With homicide though we see a shift in the death toll with reference to race/ethnicity. Black and Hispanic males are being killed with firearms at a much higher rate than White males. It can be seen also that Black and Hispanic females die in numbers disproportionate to their percent of the population. Of the 3,877 female homicides the largest percentage can very likely be linked to domestic violence. A very small percentage of the overall homicides are due to mass shootings.

While the percent of Black and Hispanic males committing suicide is a much lower number than their percent of the of the total population. The opposite is true when we look at murder. Murdered Black and Hispanic males make up well over half of the total homicides in the U.S. To me all these numbers suggest we have people problems not gun problems. It seems to me if it was only a firearm problem the percent of homicides and suicides in each racial/ethnic group would come much closer to the percent of the population that group makes up.

We in the U.S. need to address the societal problems surrounding these sad firearms deaths and not keep arguing over tool of death.

You VERY CLEARLY do not understand that the subject of “societal problems” (as you call it) is just as taboo as the subject of “gun control”. Let me make it simpler for you:

1). “Guns are America!” “It’s the gun that gave us freedom!” “We have a right to protect ourselves!” “The ‘shall not be infringed upon’ 2nd. amendment guarantees us the right to bear arms!” "Stand your ground!"

**** NOTE that it is the gun that is blasting the American population to smithereens.

2). “Talk of social reform and social equality and social benefits is the language of Communists!” “Only the lazy have no job!” “I’d rather be dead than red!” “The poor have no one but themselves to blame!”

*** NOTE that it is the gun that keeps the criminal in clover.

So what is it exactly that you are trying to say with your words above? “… need to address the societal problems surrounding these sad firearms deaths and not keep arguing over tool of death.”

Of course. Why would skin color do it? It’s genetic.

I've seen my neighbour's dog pee against the tree so many times that I'm fairly sure I know what the dog is thinking as soon as he lifts his leg.

Raw means unfiltered. By the time it gets to the FBI or an organization you call CRC, it has been manipulated. That usually means that it's been filtered for particular involvement.

    But are they peer reviewed?

Yes that is what I am saying. There are usually internal processes that work very similarly to peer review

What specific genes? The ones for being the target of discrimination and social inequity?

Come on I want to see if you can find anything to support your stance - anything that is that has not been dug up by the way back machine from Stormfront
