Anyway this is not a prediction. Putin said he will sign the paper April 1st, stating that any unfriendly nation must pay in rubles - and I don't think he's playing jokes. Do you really expect Russia to accept dollars or euros when they're being stolen in the banks? Would you?

The individual countries are working on how to make their payments in rubles - something they'll have to buy from Russian banks and most have been sanctioned. Putin is not out to destroy Europe though, so he'll probably give them a few days to adjust.

What I will say though is, if Putin wants payments in rubles for gas so the money won't be stolen, then what about the minerals we need for our industries and the fertilizer we need for our farms? Biden said they will be unsanctioned. Wouldn't those products also have to be paid in rubles? And since Putin doesn't believe in printing fiat money without the resources to back them, the demand for rubles will rise.

As for friendly nations such as India, the trade between them is conducted in both ruble and rupee and with China it's yuan and ruble. I assume local currencies are being used with all the other friendly nations as well.

 

And you guys are getting what you deserve for electing a psychopathic baby-killing thug to be your leader. It may cause pain for Germany, but I for one do not think they're going to give in to extortion and start paying with Rubles.
