You said you think all russians go to "heaven". I'm trying to dig a bit deeper into that comment.

 

Can I intervene here. Orthodox like all Christians, believe that human beings have a soul which continues to exist after we die. What state that soul will be in after death, depends on their state of mind at the time of death. If they are in a State of Grace, then their future existence will be with their Creator rather than away from their Creator.

 

Being Baptized Orthodox .. I have some conception - but this is here nor there .. the question is what is heaven like . and a very poor response on your part. Just because your in heaven .. does not mean the Most High is going to be hanging out with you 24/7 friend.

Details ... for example - when/if you make it through judgement - and pass through the pearly gates .. what song will be playing upon your reception.. and then .. after catching up with old friends .. checking out what is happening on Television ..specially the reality TV shows .. millions of worlds to choose from .. would you like to take a "Vacation" go to one of those worlds ..life another life. Remember that one of the few rules in heaven .. is the Vacation rule .. that while on Vacation you will have no recollection of your past life ..

 

Back to the topic. This is how the unfriendly nations will pay for gas.

Buyers will pay in the currency of the contract and then authorize the bank to convert the currency into rubles. The rubles will then be placed in a second account from which the purchase of natural gas will be paid.

This way the EU can't steal the money and end up with free gas, since the bill won't be considered paid until the money is converted into rubles.

Right now Russia is stopping its sale of other commodities such as oil, fertilizer, grain, timber, minerals, etc. to unfriendly nations. If the do sell to them though, I'm sure it will be in rubles and at a price high enough to cover all the money that was stolen by the US and EU.

So the West wants economic war, then they'll get an economic war that will hurt us a lot more than the Russian Federation.

 

I think we are spiritual beings, that are both separate and not, having a human life experience. I think we do that many, many, many times, both human and other life forms, lather, rinse, and repeat, for the purpose of "learning lessons" somewhat along the lines of Buddhism's "karma", but over countless lifetimes. Similar, I think, to your thoughts, except in a way the opposite... when we're back in spiritual form is when we're "on vacation".

I also think our universe is a virtual reality of some kind, and I have written what I think is a pretty convincing white paper on the topic using quantum physics to explain the evidence for that.

I also think that consciousness... that thing that "lives" in our heads through which we experience life, is the only real thing that exists, and everything else is a construct of that consciousness. As for us humans, we're just little tiny pieces of that consciousness. But when I tell your average christian that we literally are "god", that pisses them off about as much as same sex marriage being legal. And evolution.

 

I think the best explanation is to imagine your mind still being in this world, when this world doesn't exist. You have no one to discuss your family, politics, movies, foods, etc., since everything has ceased to exist. That is hell.

The purpose is to unite with God in His existence and His realm by becoming like God. Basically it's perfecting one's heart and soul, something that can't come about through our own efforts. It can only come from God. This is what is meant by God's Grace.

 

"Becoming like God" --- interesting perspective .. OK .. so -- when we get bored in all the heavenly glory .. can one take a vacation ?

and .. what was the point of this vacation .. if vacation was not a desirable thing ..

Some things need explaining .. such as .. where did soul come from .. and when does it arrive in the fleshy earthly vessel .. why not go straight through the pearly gates .. do not pass go - directly to the Godhead..

You say we do this many times .. which of course I agree - but, OK .. how does it work. what song to they play upon your return . as you pass through the pearly gates . who do you meet with - and so on. In my version .. the Television in Heaven has millions of channels .. and why not . is this not "Heaven" ? millions of different reality TV shows .. but for real . all the different worlds ..

and once in awhile .. you want to go to one of those worlds .. on a vacation .. the rule being - you will not remember your heavenly self while on vacation .. as that would kind of defeat the purpose..

The other rule I forgot to mention .. first thing they tell you when through the gates .. I guess what I'm pointing out is that your statement and the person you're quoting, are incredibly and demonstrably incorrect on what that passage of the Bible means. You don't go to heaven for fighting and dying in a war.

If you read holy books, or any books, I'll encourage that. That would not bar me from pointing out when you're wildly incorrect in interpretation, or from labeling your wildly incorrect interpretation which leads to social ills as what it is: heresy.
