It’s ironic to hear you talk about morals when you seem to be getting giddy over your police that the religious indoctrination of small children is “getting under anyone’s skin”.

this isn’t really new, the only way the Christian religion — or really any idea that is not based on observable data — can propagate itself is through recruiting new members.

I believe that’s the reason the religious right has been so vicious lately, they see their old message that has been effective for thousands of years is no longer working and they don’t know how to groom children fast enough.

Access to data and ability to view other narratives and cultures outside of the vacuums of the town they grew up in has probably been the largest tool for rapid change.

 

I have high morals. I do not commit crimes, I work hard for an honest living, I love my family, and I also do things to help others when I'm able to. My community is mostly the same. Where I live there is no crime to speak of, it's safe to leave your car running at the store while you run in for things, it's safe to leave your doors unlocked, your kids are safe playing outside, and the community bands together to help those who need it. Our schools are safe and everyone says hi to each other when they walk past you, or even drive past you. This is NOT how it is in liberal run areas. Bitch and moan all you want about so called religious indoctrination as I'm not religious, but good morals and values seem to have left the liberal areas. It is nice to see someone helping to put it back. The pushback from the left on this is not surprising.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I don't follow KC, so I wouldn't know of the reference. It's not the most bizarre beliefs/statements I've ever heard of from Christians. But I don't judge Christians by the stupid things they believe (or their intelligence). I judge them by their actions.

The issues you have identified are due to largely to two items, population density and poverty and the second unfortunately follows the first.

The only push back you are seeing is against religious grooming that you apparently believe is funny and the main reason you see this “push back” is due to the right wing screaming everyone is grooming children when they are the main culprit
