If you cut off the right arm of a child, they will 100% be forced to be left handed. They will be just as happy being left handed having never been allowed to decide for themselves which hand they would prefer to draw with. Parents can absolutely enforce the issue through stern training as to which hand a child learns to write with.

OTOH I have provided the Scientific Knowledge that a child inherits half of their DNA from each parent. The odds of a child of a trans parent inheriting trans genes is 50:50 or a 50% possibility. I am basing that on the final outcome and not the odds of each individual genetic exchange during the Meiosis process.

So this study/hypothesis is making a claim but hasn't concluded anything yet. They have a very large study of only 13 trans men and 17 trans females. Hardly a large sample to base results on.

So you have nothing. Like we all knew. You have a hypothesis.

But here's the rub. Let's say down the road we can -without a shadow of a doubt- pinpoint which genome defect causes gender dysphoria...the next step is to correct it. So we should all hope that this is something they actually could determine to correct and wipe away this disease for the future. It also would mean that it would be incredibly irresponsible for a transgender to procreate if gender dysphoria turned out to be genetic and inherited/passed on. Much like we do not want someone with down syndrome to procreate...so be careful what you wish for!

I don’t know anything about “gay genes,” but it does seem to run through families. My sister in law has two gay brothers, and she gave birth to gay twin boys. They are in their 20s so their sexual orientation is established.

 

You asked for a response, you got one!

 

If you can't point me to a gay gene, then that's the end of the convo.

I think the preference can be encouraged through environment.
