Let's be realistic: No one wants to take in Palestinians. They are a pariah to their own people. They shouldn't feel bad though, the Islamic communities don't seem to like any other faction other than their own.

Having said that, I want my progressive friends to be careful what you wish for. Muslims , practicing Muslim or non-practicing Muslim don’t know how to separate “church and state”. Progressive wants to show “tolerance” to Muslims and incorporate them in American society. Well, I have news for you, Muslim wants to come to America but they don’t want to be “ melting pot” of American idealism. You don’t believe me, google up “Hamtramck, MI” . That’s just one town in America. Muslim elected official ban LBGT flag because it’s against their religion. Keep in mind LGBTQ community helped these Muslims to settle in MI.

America already has problem with Christian right and their intolerance, last thing we need is Islamist join with them. My progressive friend , keep in mind Fundamental Muslim and Fundamental Christian right, all believe same social intolerance and they don’t sperate “ church and state”.

That seems fairly contradictory. Why do you want to welcome someone that you acknowledge isn't going to assimilate? If you welcome someone who hates you, and will be your enemy if they ever get enough political power, why do you want to welcome them? I'm not understanding what kind of sense this makes as a policy.
