How does this translate to the notion that so many Christians see Trump as the leader of America?

Who is it that points to Trump and tells their kids, "THAT is who I want you to grow up to be like."?

What does it mean to "Give us this day our daily bread."?

How has he led America to think about and treat women?

How has he demonstrated forgiveness? In what ways does he PLAN to express forgiveness should he win?

God helped Joshua to enter a new land, single out Jericho, and slaughter every man, woman, child and animal. Through genocide, the Israelites staked their claims on the land of others.

Today, God leads Israel to steal the homes and property of those living in Palestine, eliminating their orchards, coopting their water and shooting Palestinians to assure their religious views of owning other people's land. Plus, we have Gaza - with the Israeli war continuing for decades and now including the slaughter of thousands of children.

    At least God is consistent!

Maybe I didn't understand this post of yours. Where you seem to be blaming people for shortcomings when someone blames god for doing something.

To blame God is to acknowledge he is God. Since God can do no wrong and be God, then to blame him is wicked. You may as well say he was unjust to remove Satan and his followers from heaven who obviously esteemed themselves justified in their rebellion. Suffice it to say that to use ones existence and free agency against the God who gave it is foundationless.

To prevail over ones enemy according to the commandments of God isn't evil. It is victory over evil. And your case against Israel today, from its rebirth to the current struggle with Hamas, is genocide of the truth, parsed to your satisfaction. So perhaps it is the consistency of your God with whom you should be concerned.

Why ask me? You should ask his supporters. Besides, he is running for President, not Church leader.

Or, to simply dismiss that god as some ego maniac.
If killing all creatures on earth, but ark inhabitants, is doing no wrong. There's no room for discussion.
To blame him/her/it/they, is not wicked. But based on actual writings about said event(s).

WTF has Satan have to do with a world wide flood? It didn't exist.
But you do call this god, him. Paternal. World.

    Prevail over an enemy?
Why would that need to happen to the omni everything in the universe?
    God created all things.

We could say Satan killed all things ... but that would be a deception .. a falsehood .. as the Creator God killed a whole lot of folks when he sent the big flood .. the one that wiped out all land creatures.

and Satan did not coerce Adam and Eve to do anything .. The Serpent in the Garden is not Satan .. Sorry but you're wrong Mitt .. The Serpent is a different divinity .. one that acts outside of the will of God .. something our good friend Satan does not do .. for Satan is God's son but also his tester .. sent out from time to time when humans need testing .. and now perhaps it is time to take your own advice ..

I suggest you read the entire Book of Genesis very carefully and astutely then perhaps you will realize your mistake and retract your statement.

This is simply not true. It is a demonstrable fact that not all scripture is given by inspiration of God - lest one is to cast God as an irrational idiot .. and who wants to do that ?

It is in the translation from Hebrew to English. It is also words to Israel and what they were going thru thousands of years ago. Obeying God brings light, liberation and peace. Disobeying God brings darkness, woe and evil by Gods allowance. As it is also written, God will not always strive with man. Your suggestion that the evils men do are the will of God is counter intuitive, not only in conscience but in scripture as well.

Scriptures aren't a work of fiction in which God is the central character for you to critique. They are a historical record spanning four thousand years by Jews and their relationship with God.

You're unable to see the glorious light of the Good News, you don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God because satan the devil who is the god of this world has blinded your mind as well as others who don't believe.

    We Read in Scripture:

4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 5 You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. 2 Corinthians 4:4-5 NLT

You're not understanding the very important/significant role Lord Jesus had in coming into the world. It was so vitally significant, I mean had He not come into the world to save mankind from its sins, then we'd all and I mean all of mankind be condemned and punished for our sins and be separated from God forever.

But God didn't want that because His plan is for you, me, and everyone else to live with Him in heaven. But you must believe in Him. If you don't believe in Him then you won't be saved and will be separated from Him forever.

    We Read in Scripture:

16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave [a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NLT

    Footnotes
    a. 3:16 Or For God loved the world so much that he gave.

What I like to do now is present this partial written sermon given by the honorable Pastor Dr. Michael Youssef. If any of you want to see the entire sermon click on the link below:

    https://www.ltw.org/watch/teaching/series/its-the-most-wonderful-time-of-the-year-but-why/part-2

Dr. Youssef can be watched/seen on The Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) or at his website: Leading The Way with Dr. Michael Youssef https://www.ltw.org/#

The sermon is 24 minutes in duration so not very long. Dr. Youssef gave this sermon back on Dec. 17, 2022 at his Atlanta, Georgia based Ministry.
Dr. Michael Youssef's sermon is in reference to 1 John 3:8 in Scripture. One of the reasons Lord Jesus came into the world was to destroy the works of the devil.

    We Read in Scripture:

8 But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 NLT

C.S. Lewis wrote an introduction to his novel, "The Screwtape Letters" and in fact, in that introduction he said, "There are two extremes. One is believing that the devil does not exist and the other is the excessive fear of the devil, especially for the believers." Both are equally erroneous. It is not surprising therefore, my beloved friends, that the Bible tells us that one of the reasons why Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, one of the reasons why Jesus came to our earth is to destroy the works of the devil.

We saw in the last message that Jesus came from heaven according to the Word of God to deliver us from sin and from the power of sin and from the wages of sin. And today, we're going to see another reason why Jesus came from heaven and I want you to turn with me please to 1st John 3:8. And what I want to do, I want to give you a homespun translation, my translation, my paraphrasing if you like because it's not really exact translation, you ready?

He who habitually and without qualms sins is of the devil. Because the devil is a sinner from the beginning. Yet the purpose of why the Son of God appeared was so that "He might destroy the works of the devil." So question, what does it mean when John said, "The Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil." It's works, in the plural, of the devil. It means that He came to eviscerate the devil, to disarm the devil, to remove the fangs from the old serpent, that He came to knock out the teeth from the roaring lion and we will see in the next message how Jesus also came in order prepare the final church, the last church for its final triumph.

Ok thanks for your post DRI. I suggest that you watched the entire sermon of Pastor Youssef, then perhaps you might understand the significance on why Lord Jesus came into this world.

11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

Who casts god as a irrational idiot. It's the supposed word that casts those things.
See above, God said, I am going to put an end to all people

I also posted another verse where god claims it created all things, good and evil.

Those are word of gods in the bible. Not the words of man or Satan

There's no critiquing. Just posting scriptures. Which you say are supposedly it's words.
Not mine, not Satan, no other person or thing.

Didn't you ever learn not to play with fire. To condemn God for destroying wicked people is to align yourself with wickedness. The eternal welfare of your soul hangs in the balance.

Well, how did killing all those wicked people work out?
Are we all angels now? NOPE.

I get it, you have on problem with your god killing everything on earth for wickedness, and yet, wickedness didn't stay away.
Then the god changed and said never again would it do that.
But god itself claimed to have created all things, good and evil. That includes the wickedness it didn't like but created.
And this omniscient being knew all this before creation.

    Jericho wasn't an enemy.

They were the people living there before the Israelites came and slaughtered them. In fact, the slaughter was used as threat against other city states that the Israelites wanted to destroy - terrorism.

The people of Palestine were living there before Israel (with the help of the Brits, the US, etc.) came and bulldozed their homes and destroyed their orchards - because Israel wanted what Palestinians had, and with our help, they could take what they wanted, no matter who owned it.

He has gotten MAJOR political support from Christian groups throughout the USA.

They speak loudly of our social situation, THEN they pick Trump.

Hypocrite for what, for believing in God and supporting Trump for President. Where's the hypocrisy. Better yet, which contender for the office is a perfect man?

Jericho was an enemy to God and to Israel. You seem to keep forgetting that the judgment is Gods, and he is just. Israel wasn't some band of terrorists doing evil and claiming it the will of God. It actually was the will of God. And Israel did as it was commanded.

As for Israel's rebirth, among the inhabitants were also Jews. At any rate, the region belonged to the Allies, not to so called Palestinians or to anyone else. It was the Allies to do with as they wished. And they did. They returned parts of the former Ottoman Empire back to several of the former nations to whom it belonged before the Ottomans seized it. Then they took the part now Israel and gave it to the Jews as a homeland because it was their ancient homeland, and because they were dispersed by WW2 and had no place. So Israel as a nation is legal. Their restoration is also prophesied, and it is their ancient homeland.
