How can you say that with certainty? I can say with absolutely certainty that you do not have information that states otherwise. You think the US government is going to enlighten you on OPSEC?

I didn’t claim any numbers. Only you have.

So you’re running with the unsubstantiated opinion of a retired military officer. Got it.

Ukraine doesn’t publish its casualties, and estimates range wildly, as you’ve clearly demonstrated.

the difference is I don’t go around picking the estimate I like and run around claiming it’s fact.

You do that though. Any other unsubstantiated claims you’d like to put out for us that you think are truth just because it aligns with your hopes and dreams?

The burden of proofs is on you, so you can prove your point if you wish. Otherwise you are just making claims, and asking others to prove it wrong. It doesn't work that way. US has no incentive putting boots on the ground without adequate support.

Biden hasn't sent any soldiers to Ukraine, and those who are there aren't fighting on behalf of the US.

Sadly it’s never an issue for Democrats no matter who is in the WH.

Russia is the #1 military threat to the US and its allies in Europe.

Not to stand united against Putin would be the most cowardly act in the face of an autocrat since 1945.

Up to now, the Ukraine hasnt lost the war and you have your information that Ukraine looses twice times as much in comparison to Russia is based on a client told you that.

How do you come to these numbers? Did a client tell you these?

    How do you figure that?
Up to now you could not give any valid sources for numbers far away from the official numbers and in one case you were able to tell your client told you.

Which is the next example for it.

Lindsey Graham Republican and a Trump Supporter who is on these 2 Committees

    Appropriations

The Senate Appropriations Committee role is defined by the U.S. Constitution, which requires "appropriations made by law" prior to the expenditure of any money from the Federal treasury. The Committee writes the legislation that allocates federal funds to the numerous government agencies, departments, and organizations on an annual basis.

    Budget

The Budget Committee is responsible for drafting Congress's annual budget plan and monitoring action on the federal budget. In addition, the Budget Committee has jurisdiction over the operation of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). The budget resolution prepared by the committee each year sets out a broad blueprint for total revenues and spending for the federal government. Authorizing and appropriations committees prepare legislation that enacts specific tax and spending policies.

“We haven’t lost one soldier in the Ukraine war, spent less than 5 percent of our military budget. Fifty percent of the Russian army has been destroyed by the Ukrainians, so they would be at Crimea already if the administration hadn’t been so slow and given weapons,” Graham said.

I dont agree 100%. I consider China as the #1 military threat to the US if you cut out the European perspective.

But I mean, lets be realist, China observes the events in the Ukraine war very carefully. There are two extreme risks for China when it comes to an invasion of Taiwan.

    1. The US military (maybe not alone the US, Japan, South Corea and others could be a factor as well, but the US is the most important factor), will the US really support their allies or will they let them down?
    2. Boycots/sanctions by the US, Asian/Oceanian players and the EU/Europeans

Depending on how serious they see these threats their evaluation of the risks of an invasion of Taiwan will be between "this is suicide" (if they think all of the consequences will hit them fully) and "its a workout we can start the very next day with it" (if they come to the conclusion that none of these consequences will hit them).

The weaker Russia appears on the other hand and the more they come to the conclusion that this ally is a loose cannon the more their focus will be on Russia and how to gain control over its resources and put its puppy in its place.

The fact that they dont support Russia really with weapons on a large scale says everything. Up to now, they dont wanna run the risk of sanctions alone.

So although I dont share your estimation that Russia is #1 threat to the US, I think you are absolutely right, support if the Ukraine is an absolute low-budget huge gain project, it will never be that cheap again if the US let this chance slip.

"Why would they post the actual text in the internet"...?! Well, they surely would NOT post the actual report where everyone could see it if they never intended to verify what's in the report in the first place. What credence should be given to some "declassified report" that makes astonishingly wild Russian casualty claims -- especially when the authors of the report won't even put their report where it can be examined for veracity?

You know what this reminds me of? It reminds me of the first few of years of the Vietnam War, when "American military sources" were churning out reports about how many Viet Cong and/or North Vietnamese troops were killed by American forces each week. At one point it was so ridiculous that several skeptics added the figures up and actually came up with 'casualty' figures that exceeded the entire population of the military in North Vietnam and the Viet Cong!

Lindsey Graham is often the biggest moron in the room .. saying the most absurd things .. a broken man .. no wife no family and a hate on for humanity. Not exactly someone I am putting much trust in... and even so you are likely mistaking what he was saying .. "Whose numbers are you using" .. "What Number" .. had this question come up in past and something around 120 Billion was being thrown around.. which is obviously 3 times the 40 Billion number you say Lindsey the Liar is giving.

Here is the first random google figure comes up.

How much money has the US given Ukraine since Russia’s invasion?
Since February 2022, the United States has allocated $113.4 billion in emergency funding to support Ukraine in wartime.https://usafacts.org/articles/how-much-money-has-the-us-given-ukraine-since-russias-invasion/

so ..since Feb till October call it 1.6 years .. that is 70 Billion/year on an annualized basis .. OL sneakster probably using from Feb to December .. but this is then nonsense in context of the conversation which encompasses war spending thus far .. = 70 Billion per year .. closer to 10% of the annual defense budget .. not 5%.

but wait .. Hold on a minute fellah that is just the emergency funding .. keeping the Ukraine Gov't running .. paying all the staff the army and everyone else .. this doesn't include the amount we gave them in military support ..= Shells and missiles .. howitzers and Javalins .. HIMARS and and and and

This is where the 120 Billion in the first year number likely comes from.. now we are talking 15% of defense spending .. a huge amount of money .. thrown down the toilet to purchase a negative return on investment .. this war been a big disaster .. never mind the embarrassment of having Putin Hand it to us both on the military and economic battlefield.

Russia is no threat to the US .. nor Europe from a military perspective .. It's called nuclear deterrence.. In the Conventional realm you may be right .. but I would not put China that far behind. and unfortunately we did not get to see any of their product in the war.

I would trust what Lindsey Graham says being he is on the Budget and Senate Appropriations Committee

Surprised at your comment " he biggest moron in the room .. saying the most absurd things .. a broken man .. no wife no family and a hate
    on for humanity "

That does sound like a description of Trump ?

Seems you are confused about the fact that there are no substantiated opinions in the Fog of War ? ..so you go with the best you can find.

If you don't like that number .. then come up with one of your own .. which clearly you have not done .. nothing better than railing against numbers that others post .. having no info of your own to present.

and good that you don't go around picking the estimate you like and run around claiming its fact .. I don't do that either.

Now .. clearly you did not like the 500 KIA estimate from the Colonel.. so then .. how many do you think are dead on the Ukraine side.. and it must be big cause they are now pressing women and old men into service.. .. and thats not a good sign .. Human capital wise" now is it.

Best you can find is a retired official?! Hahahaha!

You didn’t ask for it. Wait, you’re saying you don’t even know there are other estimates out there? The only figure you are aware of is from your retired source?! Hahahaha! You know what, if you really want your answer here to be “yes, I am indeed totally unaware of other figures” then say so and I’ll source the hell out of other estimates for you and no, they won’t be retired. But I’ll give you a chance here to not claim such an ignorant position.

except that’s exactly what you did, claiming 1/2 million dead Ukrainians and a million more wounded. Do I need to source this too? Hahaha!

Define “pressing”. Define “old men”. Define “service”(front lines? Cooks? Truck drivers?)

I know you’re not used to thinking hard about such terms and would like everyone to just go along with the same imagined assumptions you use for their casualty figures, but others like me actually deal with facts and context.

and again, you want other figures please double down on not knowing any other estimates and I’ll source as many as you like. Just let me know!

Not really. Russia, the former Soviet Union was given a warning about MAD. One of their generals back in the days said US cares more as our Los Angeles than Berlin. That notion was challenged. It was Russian hot air.

China needs to learn but with a Chinese asset Biden in office, good luck

You know as well as any, that the US government has been using contracted private military in every conflict around the globe since the 80's. Thinking that the US government isn't using Blackwater in Ukraine is naive at best. It has allowed the US government to fight wars through anonymity. Heck, the UK is even openly hiring conscripts to wage war in Ukraine.

Private military firms see demand in Ukraine war

Not sure how to address this ridiculous blather.

    1) I did not stat that there were no other estimates out there .. nor that I did not know about other estimates. What was stated was that you have not come up with an estimate .. and how you got the above discombobulated strawman out of .. you not having an estimate .. Is anyone's guess.

    2) you blurt out " Best you can find is a retired official?! Hahahaha!" - in Ad Hom Fallacy desperation - hoping to demonize the source.. when the fact of the matter is that however bad my source may be .. it is better than the source you provided .. having not provided one :)

So Friend .. if you don't like the 500 K Ukrainian Dead - figure coming from a source you think is bad .. then show us what you think the number should be .. backed up by what you figure is a better source.

You can't, without any certainty, say that the Pentagon hasn't contracted US private military contractors to fight in Ukraine. There is allot of all American platoons operating in Ukraine right now.

There is no one running that will put USA on a Path to Peace -Prosperity - and "Freedom" from this tyrannical and oppressive path we are going down .. towards some kind of collectivist authoritarian police state society .. Tyranny by any name.

If you are asking who is currently least of the worst .. hard to say .. perhaps that Indian fellow.. if you want between Biden - or anything Blue throws up against Trump .. Lets have Trump win if nothing for the entertainment value.

Either way .. the Donor Class dictates what goes on in a "Pay to Play" system .. the likes of which the world has seen before .. and knows all to well where that ends up .. ( Think Feudal System) which makes you a Serf Friend.

Surely you realize that no one makes it into the presidency "Unvetted" .. that you have to have support from at least some .. if not a good portion of the Donor Class to sit in the Chair ?

and .. sorry to say.. though the Prog Blue doth play .. Donald's donors are not "Russia Russia" .. and only someone completely unaware of how influence works in Washington .. would dream of thinking Putin and his Oligarchs have more influence than our Beloved Oligarchs. completely out of the loop and Yet ... for how many years did they play that fiddle ... "meddled with our election" and Donald helped them do it .. as those are his evil influencers.

a pile of fantastical nonsense was that Blue Clown Show.. the problem being knocking down some of the pillars safeguarding essential liberty along the way .. next thing you know the Cop City Protestors are "Terrorists" .. their rights reduced to that of GITMO .. and violators of the Espionage Act.. Trampled under Big Blue Foot running around Jabbing people .. forced medical treatment and other disgusting police state tactics.

Not even Trump was that bad .. not giving a hoot about liberty either .. just not as criminally pro-active as the Prog Blue Team

Again I ask everyone in this thread -- if this report is DECLASSIFIED, and its contents are thus open for examination by anyone who wants to analyze them, then WHY is it that you cannot find the actual report itself anywhere on the internet?! You can google dozens of stories about the fact that there is a declassified report, somewhere, claiming that Russia has sustained 315,000 casualties, but you cannot find the report itself? Does it strike anyone else that this smacks of bullshit?!

Afterthought: the Russian casualty figure cited in this 'report' is larger by more than 10,000 than the population of either Cincinnati, Ohio, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.... :omg:

Its an issue, which is why they make no bones about wanting to raise taxes to pay for the spending. Ironically that's a more fiscally conservative stance than the "borrow and spend" model which GOP prefers.
