“Do you think the RNC has been an honest broker in this case?” moderator Kristen Welker asked.

Haley replied, “I mean, clearly not.”

“If you’re gonna go in and basically tell the American people that you’re gonna go and decide who the nominee is after only two states have voted? I mean, 48 states out there?” she said. “This is a democracy. The American people want to have their say in who is going to be their nominee. We need to give them that.”

The first step to become the first country's dictator is to become dictator of your party

First it was Trump threatening any donors who gave money to Nikki with blacklisting them.

Now the Republican Party itself keeps pressuring Nikki Haley to drop out before the votes are counted. I don't remember ever seeing this before, that the Republican National CHAIR herself has taken sides with one of the candidates and doesn't even bother to hide it. I mean... I have seen high level officials who obviously take a side. But at least they try to not make it publicly.

"We need to unite around our eventual nominee which is going to be Donald Trump"
    -Ronna McDaniel (RNC Chair)

This type of displays in which the maximum authority of the Party picks a side, and keeps pressuring his main opponent to resign is sign of what will happen to the country if Trump becomes President: get rid of Democracy, and let the dictator reign.

So is THIS still the party you learned to love when you grew up?

    I don't know..... Nikki's voters might.

But that's besides the point. The point is that the Republican Party itself has discarded the democratic process as a means to select their candidate. Why would we believe that they won't do this also when they have power to do the same at a NATIONAL level?

The neo-con is not going to be POTUS. For the simple fact that the situation is already defcon 5 and we can't have a neocon at 3:00 AM. We'd been there, done that.

There are many Nikki supporters in this forum. Not sure how they'll react to yet ANOTHER authoritarian coup by the Orange Dictator. This time to forcefully take over the candidacy and in detriment of THEIR candidate.

Hopefully we'll here from one of them.

Yeah! Why a neocon when you can have a full-fledged fascist dictator!

He wouldn't have my vote, but he would have my support if he won. Four years ago, the world was scared shitless of this dude, and even the EU stepped up. Two things that need to happen again.

Right now, America's adversaries smell blood in the water and we need a measured response.

I support any President when they do something positive for the country, and I don't when what they do is negative. But I do wait and see what it is they are going to do.

I don't know about the world, but I remember I was scared shitless. I mean, a deadly pandemic was on the horizon, and the guy in charge of handling it was a complete moron. What was there NOT to be scared shitless of? Trump proved that our fears were justified.

Or even just "a response" would do. If Trump were in charge, the response would be whatever is most profitable for him.

so what sort of real effects actually happened to you that justified you saying that your fear was justified?

Don't feed me any malarkey about insurrection or your opinion of this or that.... Show me some real world cold hard facts. Really not interested in any melodramatic hyperbolic opinion

it amazes me he would ask her where her husband is

as most of us are not sure where Melania is

Trump is getting too old to adjust his own jacket, he needs help, no Melania to be found, but this young man steps up to the plate to help

Funny how politicians seem to like what's good for them and not like what's bad for them.

Kind of like the democrats crowing about the Hur report not indicting Biden yet savaging the comments about Biden's obviously diminished mental state.

What a convoluted theory. She's losing to him even though he's stricken from ballots. How could any of her pathway to victory be democratic when the electorate doesn't want her?

That makes the person the electorate does want a dictator?

Man, the Democrats definition of democracy sure has changed.

Totally LMFreakinAO at people lowering the collective IQ of the forum by trying to hijack and derail this thread to discuss what happened in the Dem Primary 8 years ago.
    Give me a break!:bored:
The topic of THIS thread is the RNC and Haley in 2024.
The topic is NOT some ancient history in the other party in the previous decade.

    Now--Back ON Topuc:
The position of the RNC is, essentially, correct...
Haley is toast and should drop out.
