I do in the future see this as something that will be addressed by both parties, it will probably start as something to protect the children, but you can't protect the children unless you know who people are and their age - no different then having to show ID to buy a vape pen (no ID, assumed to be a child)

I'd recommend you worry less about the source of the message and more on the message itself. How much sense it makes to you. Because anyone can lie to you. Even people who have been vetted by the authorities or certified as experts.

For if we do, 'China and Putin' (and any other entity that seeks to deceive) will inevitably co-opt that authority and use it to lie with authority. I want NO VOICE to have authority over any other. I think all network traffic from outside the USA should be tagged before it enters the USA's network, then that could be displayed by social media
