What a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing cop out excuse, being black makes people commit crimes. (*)(*)(*)(*)ing baby Jesus on a cracker, that's the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing lamest thing I've heard yet.
That's what I like about Texas. Like Ron White once said, Texas is the only state in the union with a death row express line! As for the OP, he or she is properly named: A. Zero
The entire thread is bunk. In part. did you read that part? Not just the testinmony of one single guy but "in part". And you have no idea what weight they gave that asshats testimony. The peckerwood is guilty and you are making a mountain out of a molehill. Fry that bastard. Find something worth discussing, will you?
The article seems to suggest just that, though. If the psychologist had said that he wasn't likely to commit further crimes (if he was white) would he have been sent to death row?
if the perp was white and the victim black the OP and the other usual suspects would be singing a different tune
when did I say I didn't believe it? I just don't care...you kill people in Texas, we'll kill you back. but yes, I googled the other guy mentioned in the OP, here is the poor guy you are so concerned for: http://crime.about.com/od/deathrow/ig/Texas-Death-Row-Inmates/Duane-Buck.htm
again, don't try to derail the thread...this is about Perry executing people. Not the racism of a doctor. Start a thread about the doctor if you want to discuss that.
well let's see: "Doctor Testifies Being Black Shows Bias to Commit Crime" that would be a good title...IF in fact you were so worried about the racism aspect. but you aren't...you are just wanting to smear Perry.
we don't HAVE to, what the other Americans think of us, doesn't matter to us...we are a STATE...read the Constitution!
FAIL.. out of the 26 people executed in Texas in 2010 only FIVE of the 17 were black. facts are hard things to deal with aren't they? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_individuals_executed_in_Texas,_since_2010 this year, THREE out of nine are Black...
Rick Perry is scheduled to execute someone because they're black? Was Rick Perry the lead prosecutor in the case? Is Rick Perry going to personally administer the death penalty? I guess what I'm asking is, what has Perry done or going to do which would justify your thread title?
I believe the Civil war showed Federal law trumps State law... for obvious reasons... Imo, the death penalty should only be reserved for high count serial killers (also includes people like the guy who shot up the giffords crowd), high count child molesters (although i would be willing to debate on that), war criminals, people who knowingly and willingly disregard the Geneva convention, and people who commit crimes against humanity.
No, just your misleading thread title. Rick Perry isn't going to execute anyone. The Governor only has the power to commute or pardon, he does not prosecute cases or administer the death penalty.
Yes, if that is the case, then it's disturbing, but that has nothing to do with Rick Perry. Perry had nothing to do with this case or the execution.
He can only stay the execution for thirty days. He does not have the authority to commute the sentence unless the Board of Pardons and Paroles gives a recommendation to that effect. Are you done making a fool of yourself yet?
I wonder why the media didn't bring it up sooner... What's petty is attempting to blame Rick Perry for something he has virtually nothing to do with.
