I don't think anyone actually believed we would get rid of all the Taliban. We just wanted those involved in supporting or aiding the attack on 911the to pay for their actions. And like I said.. quite a few of the ones who were in charge at that time are hurried in the desert somewhere. I call that success.

That is for Iraq to deal with. We ousted Saddam, and set democracy in motion. What the Iraqi's decide to do with that will be up to them. As long as they don't go invading other sovereign countries or threaten to set in motion events that would destabalise the ME..then our job is complete.

As I remember , the cost of maintaining the USSR Military was the chief factor in their demise .... I feel that the Soviet Leadership does not have the support financially of their own people to spend billions of dollars to put in such a missle system .. it's saber rattling , in my opinion.

There is no "US led murdering war machine". Since judging by your username English may not be your first language but rather a second language let me explain it to you.

In English, it is not called "Murder" as you said, when the US kills fanatical moozlims, that is called "WAR", and it is a WAR which the moozlims themselves first asked for, and second, then started with the killing of countless American civilian citizens.

War is what US does when they want to occupy politically, economically and military a country.
