Wow. Really?

This is a psychologist saying this? A school psychologist?

You know, I don't know about you folks, but I think that school employees advocating the deaths of kids is probably a poor idea.

Indeed, what may be most amazing is the fact that the guy really seems to think that he is not racist and that his position is fact based.

C'mon Louisiana. Get with the current century and get rid of this nonsense.

In the wake of the Southern Poverty Law Center filing numerous complaints against the Jefferson Parish School System for, they allege, sending “a disproportionate number of black and disabled students to alternative schools to languish for months,” the school is under even heavier fire after it was discovered that a school psychologist posted a slew of racially incendiary comments on Twitter.

The man, identified as Mark Traina, says he likes “politics, the economy, reading and expressing [his] opinion,” in his Twitter description.

Fox 8 spoke to him over the phone, and he only said that the comments represent his personal opinions, not his work for the school.

Some of the worst comments include: “Young Black Thugs who don’t follow the law need to be put down not incarcerated. Put down like the Dogs they are!“ and ”We need to declare a war on Thugism in America. Bring them under control. Use the Hammer and Trigger Method!”

Another tweet ended: “The Real Terrorist live among us! Not over seas! Right here and now.”

According to a local paper, Traina both works in the alternative schools where students allegedly receive an inferior education, and he helps determine who is transferred to such schools.

In the midst of the publicity, Traina responded to the same paper: “Everything I said is fact-based, backed up by data. I don’t have a prejudiced bone in my body. I’m not a racist. I’m a realist.”

He elaborated: “This is just another way to harass the Jefferson Parish Public School System. One only needs to read the Times Picayune to see who the real trouble makers are. Sadly, it is disproportionately young black males. Everyone knows that our jails throughout the United States are disproportionately filled with black people. Why would the rate be any different in an educational environment?”

The school’s superintendent James Meza has announced that there will be an internal investigation into the matter, and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights will be launching its own investigation, largely in response to the repeated complaints from the Southern Poverty Law Center.

 

Take him out and shoot him. He's a racist and a parasite on the school system.

 

Perhaps simply firing him would be sufficient.

Okay his views are on the extreme side and the use of Black was unfortunate but still a man with the right number of testicles will openly say what he believes so either he is really not a racist or just a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) not worth getting any attention .

 

Everytime someone in this nation declares a "war" on something it has the opposite of its intended effect.

 

I do not see what there is to investigate. The school obviously has juvenile delinquents, apparently most of them are Black for whatever reason.

i agree, not just black thugs though because all thugs should be put down like the animals they are. gangster life is a threat to everyone, they dont care who they steal from or hurt or kill, just stupid beasts who think sagging your pants like a prison (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and talking like a moron is cool.

well they should be, black thugs are a serious problem in this country and dont do any good for anyone.

Because it's not who, because it's not a specific person. You didn't see him say "Tim Jones, is an example of this thuggery". He said black people. He was saying this to a large group of people, despite the fact that every ethnicity has thuggery.

 

Well apparently the problem in his area is black thugs, what's wrong with calling it out like you see it? Black thugs are a problem in my neighborhood, and in my buddies neighborhood he has an issue with Mexican thugs. Just because you say black or Mexican thugs doesn't mean u are addressing every black or Mexican person.

 

But thuggery itself doesn't have a race. And I'm more than willing to bet, he doesn't teach at an all black school.

 

The problem there is BLACK thugs, if they were WHITE thugs he would have said WHITE thugs.

Really, I much more often read racists defending murderers by saying it isn't their fault. A mob stomps a man and a woman, oh, well, move along, not a problem. Racism comes in all flavors. And, some psychologists are campaigning to have peodphilia removed the the Diagnostic Manual. It's not a mental abberation. Lordy, no, perfectly normal. Psychologists might have more flakes than most professions.
