Did you know that specific policy, i.e. place recovering covid patients into nursing home facilities, is recommended by the federal government?

    Recommended, but not required.

And the results speak for themselves.

New York's COVID death rate was 11 times higher than Florida's.

Yet the media celebrated Cuomo while they vilified De Santis.

First off, what happens in Florida and in New York are both the responsibility of Trump. But if you want to pursue this comparison further, here you go:

So yes, that policy is recommended by the federal government. And it is recommended specifically for those whose hospitals are at risk of being overwhelmed. That happened in New York and it did not happen in Florida, thus the need to move recovering patients from the hospitals into nursing home facilities was never the recommended choice to the state of Florida.

As for comparing Florida to New York, let's take a look at the daily numbers:

    upload_2020-5-28_10-35-49.png
    upload_2020-5-28_10-36-32.png

New York's numbers show a consistent and steady decline across the cases and deaths while a steady increase of testing. Florida's numbers are inconsistent and flat/rising.

So Trump is responsible for New York's failure and Florida's success? That's quite the theory. Not sure how you plan to sustain it.

And COVID deaths are declining everywhere in the world, including in Florida. That New York's rate of decline is relatively more pronounced can be readily attributed to their artificially high death rate. Trying to spin New York's monstrous failure into some kind of success story is easily the most disingenuous piece of propaganda I've heard this year.

I don't call Florida a success when it hasn't shown a sustained and consistent decline. I do called New York's consistent and sustained decline a success.

And I call Trump's failure to implement/approve early testing, Trump's willingness to dismiss the threat of the virus, Trump's decision to attack governors and scientists and the media, Trump's reaction to always play the victim card, and Trump's outright lies a massive failure.

New York's COVID death rate is eleven times higher than Florida's. And it's because New York's incompetent governor forced nursing homes to accept patients infected with COVID. Your desperate attempt to spin that into a victory for New York is laughable.

There is zero evidence that the federal policy of placing recovering patients into nursing homes explains the discrepancy in death rate between New York or anywhere else. There is a great deal of evidence that population density explains the discrepancy.

You're correct, but at the moment the fire is growing in the favelas of Rio and Brazil. Easy to predict. Cynical to say, but the planet is over populated with humans.

It wasn't a federal policy, it was a federal guideline.

New York followed it and Florida didn't.

Consequence: New York experienced a death rate eleven times higher than Florida.

Cuomo killed thousands of grannies with his deadly incompetence.

    Democrats 2020: Grandma killers.

The evidence is that New York did it and Florida didn't. New York's death rate was eleven times higher than Florida's as a result. So unless you can show me evidence that New York has a population density eleven times higher than Florida, I'm not sure how you plan to substantiate your desperate spin.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population_density

Of the top 133 most densely populated areas with an official incorporation, 66 are part of the New York City Metropolitan area.

From that same list, Florida can claim 7. All of them in Miami.

Oh ... wait a moment please: where do you think the infected patients should go as an alternative? Straight to the cemetery to save transportation costs of the grave diggers etc.?

So you argue, only someone with a leftwing political bias care about suicide..... ??? Honestly maybe they need to remove the lockdown simply to get some people's brains to start working again.

Indeed . . . after weeks of HOWLING about how people are going to die if they re-open the nation's economy and let people go back to work, mysteriously the political Left cancelled Kung-flu concerns in favor of their media outlets egging people to mingle in close proximity for . . . social justice . . . and five finger discounted large screen televisions.
