And they are completely right. The 1965 immigration law was passed with the explicit promise that the demographics of the country would not change. This was back when only 14% of the population supported interracial marriage. Do you think the people would have been supportive of the country no longer remaining majority white? Not a chance. So they lied.

Apologists say that they couldn’t have known at the time what effect this law would have had, but even if they didn’t know it in 1965, they knew it in 1970 when the overwhelming majority of immigrants were coming from non white 3rd world countries. They said and did nothing. They waited until everyone started hearing Spanish and asked “what the hell is going on? Who are these people?”

Left wing fans of democracy should be opposed to such an un-democratic agenda (the people never voted on this), but of course they’re not opposed to it at all.

Individual rights have always trumped the popular vote in our system of government. It is the mainstay of our Constitution. Why are you against individual rights? Why are you against our Constitution?

Why are you avoiding answering the question - are you against allowing mixed marriages of American Citizens?

And as for your ignorant remark about the racial make-up of states voting against miscegenation laws? North Carolina has a 71% White population as of 2015. Mississippi is 60% white. Alabama is 70% White. Want to try again? Or just admit failure.

I just showed that immigration was limited to white people from the very beginning, and was the norm for most of America’s history. Your perspective is what is based in ignorance.
