But, here's a question: the Democrats just won a majority in the House, a tie in the Senate (with the new VP Harris holding the deciding vote in cases of a tie) and the Presidency, so what would they have to gain? IMO, they could just as easily be Trump supporters pretending to be antifa's or any third party seeking to create more chaos. The problem Trump has is that he asked them in his speech to march on the Capitol and to be strong...tough. And, I believe the timeline indicates that the invasion of the building took place only AFTER Pence refused to follow what Trump wanted him to do...i.e. thrown out the swing state certifications.
The WSJ just called for Trump's resignation.

Facial recognition software purportedly identified antifa members among the rioters.

"A retired military officer told The Washington Times that the firm XRVision used its software to do facial recognition of protesters and matched two Philadelphia Antifa members to two men inside the Senate," that news organization reported on Wednesday evening. The military officer is not identified in the article.

XRVision has denied claims that images taken by its software were made available publicly. The article was removed Thursday from the Washington Times' site, but is still available in an archived version.

First, let me start by saying the same thing that I said when Antifa/BLM were rioting and there were claims of Pro-Trump supporters starting the riots. No matter who STARTS the riot, each person is responsible for their individual actions. So, anyone that participated should be charged with the appropriate crimes.

That said, I find it highly ironic that leftists refuse to believe that Antifa couldn't have started what happened. That they wouldn't do such a thing. Yet Trump supporters most assuredly would and they have no doubt about it. I personally would not doubt that they would try something like this. After all, Trump supporters supposedly did the same to them right? And Antifa is all about getting payback for perceived injustices.

Seriously, the partisanship on both sides is just disgusting.

Antifa can be dick-heads at the same time as any individual Trump supporter. They are not dependent on each other.
