The charge only holds up if all evidence is allowed pertaining to the charge. The prosecution argued for a 54 month sentence which was based on a false narrative. Justice demands fair sentencing regardless of the charges.

Actually it is Tucker Carlson and the RWers like you who are harping on how the Capitol Police treated him and how that is some kind of "exculpatory evidence". I'm merely pointing out that it isn't.

    What are you not getting?
How the Capitol police treated him DOES NOT PERTAIN TO THE CHARGES. It has nothing to do with it. Zero, Zip, Zilch, Nada, Goose Egg, Nothing.

I really don’t care how the LEO treated him. That’s irrelevant. What matters is how Chanley acted. Nothing in his actions was violent.

You don’t believe that the time should fit the crime principle?

Video evidence has demonstrated that there was no insurrection attempt. The leftists fell for propaganda (again). How unfortunate.

The left cheered as trespasser were given more time in jail than violent criminals. Authoritarianism at its finest.

And to be guilty of 18 USC 1512(c)(2) nothing in his actions had to be violent.
That is what he pleaded guilty to.

And the crime he pleaded guilty to carries a maximum 20 year sentence. I would say he should consider himself lucky with a 41 month sentence.

He was falsely charged. He was denied bail on the basis that he was a participant in a violent insurrection.

The members of Congress were removed from the chambers because of fear for their safety. THAT shows an insurrection attempt.

The crowd was chanting "Hang Mike Pence". THAT shows an insurrection attempt.

These pictures of police officers being attacked. THAT shows an insurrection attempt

All I see is a riot. I've seen plenty of them night after night in the summer of 2020. Of course the MSM called them "mostly peaceful protests".

How was he falsely charged? 18 USC 1512(c)(2) is pretty damn clear. Please enlighten us, what part of the indictment was false? (Also, keep in mind, that he was actually indicted on SIX charges. Five were dropped as part of the plea agreement). Are you saying that his lawyer was so bad that he allowed him to plead guilty to a false charge?

Was it a plea deal? Therein is your answer. Did his lawyers have the video evidence now known? No they did not.

So far you've claimed that he was falsely charged and that the videos are somehow exculpatory. What you have NOT done is given any kind of explanation of why those claims are true.

Would Chansley have gotten a lighter sentence if he were a minority? I mean, it happened in Washington, DC, ya know.
