Video evidence makes it true. What is really heinous is the totalitarian nature of the DC justice system in this regard. No regard for civil liberties. No regard for due process. No regard for exculpatory evidence.

 

He would have not been sentenced at all if the degenerate ******* would have stayed at home instead of participating in an insurrection.

He has no charge for trespassing and instead plead guilty to a single count of obstructing Congress.

if there were any Trump supporters that worked there that assisted them, yes charges would be appropriate

Most didn’t break in. They were let in by Capitol police. The actual breaking ins were led by plain clothes federal agents who instigated the breachings. Those who walked the 1.5 miles from Trumps rally were let in as the initial breaches occurred well before he was even done speaking and asking his supporters there to peacefully assemble and cheer on their congressional proponents.

 

Just comparing it to the “mostly peaceful” protests from late spring to early fall a few short months before….

 

Even if they kept the trespassing charge and maxed it out, he should be released now for time served and compensated for time served already in excess of that.

Event #3: Building burning down and Trump says "Go Home"...

 

What about the due process of the prosecution and the regime giving the counsel for defense all of the exculpatory evidence it had? The absence of that legally binding act means that there was no due process for anyone charged with any non violent non destructive act there that day.

 

After being deprived by the prosecution of access to exculpatory evidence which is supposed to be disbarring type offense in the legal system. Every single Jan 6 defendant already sentenced who did not assault another person or vandalize the building should be set free or given a new trial including the withheld evidence.

No but they strongly attempted to but failed to get into the White House. The first family had to be evacuated and more law enforcement persons were injured defending the White House perimeter than defending the Capitol.

 

I don’t think that there were any protesters there so no need for those cameras to be involved.

 

Those should be charged and given the same amount of convictions and time in prison as those BLM/Antifa protesters were for similar acts.

YOu have him INSIDE the Capitol Building at the scheduled time for the certification to take place, and while hundreds of other people were forcing,. quite literally, into the building, then you have the infamous photos of the people who were in Congressional Offices and trashed them. But even this vidoe does not exonnerage Jacob Chansley from his crime that he pled gulty to under 18 USC 1512
