He didn't plead guilty to "simple trespass"

He pled guilty to 8 USC Section 1512(c)(2), a felony which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years. He got off easy.

Why do you believe your “might have” is more valid than mine? Do you honestly believe a trespasser deserves a 54 month prison sentence? Any reasonable jurist looking at that video would say no.

Because my "might have" is based on the actual law...your's is based on wishful thinking.

What part of "no jury would have seen that video" don't you get? The fact that the police treated him with kid gloves is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to charges.
You might as well ask to have a video of him playing with a bunch of puppies while feeding homeless people entered as evidence. It has the exact same relevance in regards to the charge of 1512(c)(2) - Namely, none.

If it was presented that he was violent to influence his sentencing this video would go to debunk that argument. You don’t really know what a judge will allow at trial. You’re just guessing.

I was very deliberate when I used the word “may”. A word missing from your vocabulary?

This indicates the bias of the judge.
“Judge Fine on Friday called Chansley "an active participant in a violent insurrection that attempted to overthrow the United States government" and feared he was a danger to the community and a flight risk.”

The judge already bought the narrative that 1/6 was an insurrection.

Watch the video of Chansley being escorted by capitol cops throughout the capitol. There were no indications from the capitol police that Chansley was doing anything wrong. Watch the video. Maybe you're saying the capitol cops were derelict in their duty because they didn't draw arms against Chansley?

I'm saying how the police treated him is IRRELEVANT to the charges.

If a person robs a bank and you have video of the guard helping put the money in a backpack and then opening the door for him to leave, does that invalidate the charge of bank robbery?

Four years for breaking and entering...When capitol cops motioned rioters to come in. BTW, did the guy who went on stage during Dave Chappelle's routine holding a knife get 4 years? :roflol:(I have to give an assist to Elon Musk).

Wouldn’t that make the bank guard an accomplice? Why weren’t the LEO codefendents?

    Don't know, don't care.
How they treated Chansley is irrelevant to the charges against him.

Four years (actually 3 1/2) for violation of 18 USC Section 1512(c)(2) which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years. He got off easy.

    "simple trespass"? Lmao! :roflol:
Chansley pleaded guilty to a single count of obstructing a proceeding of Congress,

    Specifically 18 USC Section 1512(c)(2)
A felony that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years. He should be thanking his lawyer for getting it down to 41 months.

Well, you brought up an analogy to the LEO so it must be relevant to you.

Nope. Only pointing out that the action of any LEO or guard or whatever is completely irrelevant to the crime he was charged with.
