Honestly, Barry looked small, weak and inconsequential next to Romney. That's pretty bad right there. I'd rather eat a Moochelle school meal rather to be compared to that...about as low as one can get.

 

I think that she's trying to show solidarity with the working class by repeating outfits like that, but I don't think thats the best way to do it.

Seems I read somewhere that she was following in Jackie O's footsteps as being a fashion plate.. I don't think she will accomplish that..

Writer Joyce Purnick gives her take on the impact of Mrs. Obama's "bare, trim, elegant arms" in a piece for the New York Times:

"The first lady has made it unacceptable for women to appear in public with covered arms. However innocently, however unwittingly, that is what she has done. Those bare, toned, elegant arms of hers have spawned an epidemic of sleevelessness, exposing arms, arms, arms, and not all of them toned and elegant."

The First Lady traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio today, where she spoke at a campaign event encouraging supporters to vote on November 6 or sooner. Today marked the start of early voting in the battleground Buckeye state.

On the style front: Mrs. O layered a mint green dress with a printed, cropped cardigan and statement necklace. A dash of the eclectic! More to follow as designers are confirmed.

Update #1: Mrs. O wears a green tweed dress from the Miss Wu collection - designer Jason Wu's foray into the designer contemporary market. Miss Wu will debut at Nordstrom stores in 2013. The Daily Beast reports that Mrs. O was the first person to be photographed in Miss Wu.

That's not true! Hillary Clinton took a lot of flak for her pants suits and her looks in general. She was called a lot of names and her butt was also discussed excessively!

 

I SOOOO wish I had some photos of my grandmother dressed up for church uploaded...she and Moochelle have the exact same taste in clothes! of course she's been dead more than fifteen years and the clothes I am talking about were not exactly cutting edge at the time...

it's weird how men that are out of shape wear their belts way UNDER their bellies and women that are heavy on the bottom wear their belts under their boobs. I guess they dont' understand what a waist is...they apparently believe 'waist' is the smallest part of their torso.

 

oh my! and here I am walking around in public with the tops of my arms covered! oh the SHAME!

wonder what happened to women's lib? the war on women? we have to be told what to wear by pundits for the White House? what next, bare feet in tennis shoes? can you imagine the stench?

it looks like athletic wear...you know the kind football players wear under their uniforms to wick sweat away from their bodies?

 

One major difference though... Hillary was never touted as a 'trendsetter' so she had nothing to live up to. Same with Laura & Barbara Bush. In fact, Jackie O was really the last FL to actively play the fashion game... and since she took great care to look well groomed and put together in public... she definitely earned that title.

Michelle seems to go out of her way to wear the tackiest things she can find. Then her supporters cry because not everybody's buying into her role as 'fashion model for everyday American women.'

She's a joke.

 

LMAO...in that pic she's explaining why she's wearing yellow shoes, orange boob belt and black polka dots....and no hose.

 

Good gawd... could be a halloween costume.

The first lady continued her campaign trail tour with a stop in Castle Rock, Colorado today. For the appearance, Mrs. O wore a green frock embellished with a brooch at the neckline. Tall brown suede boots completed the understated, classic look.

Michelle looks very tired... the campaign trail is taking a definite toll on her. She should go home and put her feet up.

The first lady campaigned in Leesburg, VA today. On the style front, Mrs. O wore a mix print wrap dress, previously seen in February 2012, here. The designer of this mystery dress has yet to be identified. Any guesses?

Lane Bryant? Fingerhut? Walmart?

 

The mixed print wrap dress is a total win. I do like her better in bright colors but to see her in a dress that actually fits.... is actually flattering... with the waistline in the vicinity of the actual waist and not way up under the girls... win.
