I am not happy with Garland slow walking the case that led to some traitors in our midst being re-elected.

I hope Smith will get it sorted out. I'm still shocked that anybody would defend this. It's just incredible that one evil bastard could do so much damage to our nation and those of us that actually care about it. Trump and pro-USA are mutually exclusive.

I think J6 should have included Pence. We wouldn't be in this nightmare if he had done his job for the good of our country and us.

I am discussing the topic. I believe this is January 6th thread number 1,000,001 and what prompted Jan 6th was an election, specifically DENIAL of those results. I think it is 100% on topic for me to call out the OP for saying he denies another election and wants to bash people that do the same thing. There is a word for that. It starts with H and ends with Y

Here is what I find revealing in terms of guilt or innocence.

Trump and Eastman have responded to the allegations made by the Jan. 6 committee. They completely ignored the evidence and used unflattering characterizations of the committee's massive endeavor. Nothing is said about what happened, what Trump said on that day, and the huge amount of material that proves their guilt.

“The Fake charges made by the highly partisan Unselect Committee of January 6th have already been submitted, prosecuted, and tried in the form of Impeachment Hoax # 2. I WON convincingly. Double Jeopardy anyone!” Trump wrote.

This has been going on for months. Never once has Trump dealt with the evidence, and Trump refused to appear before the committee to explain his innocence.

Is this conscience of guilt?

Sure as hell is.

 

This is a rarity as our positions usually align but I vehemently disagree with you on this one.

Toxic Traitor Trump does not have and has never had a conscience or experienced a guilt.

He ABSOLUTELY knew:

1. There was no "rigged" election.
2. Pence didn't have Constitutional authority to unilaterally overturn the election results.

Only a monster could lie to thousands of people to incite a mob attack and not do a damn thing for 3+ hours while they brutalized our brothers and sisters in blue. He literally watched that happen for 3+ hours; reportedly, gleefully. I'm a former cop and I couldn't watch more than a few minutes.

He is so self-absorbed that he had to be shamed to lower the mast for Officer Sicknick and has yet to acknowledge the four officers that committed suicide due to PTSD resulting from that day. I know he's exponentially stupid, but he has to know some of those Capitol police officers were his supporters.

Apparently, the rumblings suggests that he didn't call the National Guard because he was informed they would protect the police officers, law makers and Capitol so he had his toddler tantrum because he wanted them to back up the criminals. Yesterday, it was reported the Pentagon was very concerned that he would issue a command for that very thing to happen. Flynn stonewalled Pelosi and we get the joy of paying his pension.

I really wish he was younger. At 76, he statistically won't live long enough to serve the amount of time he should. If the world was fair he would be tried for war crimes (Afghanistan and Ukraine) and treason and rightfully get the death penalty. I have more confidence in Smith than Garland who should also be called to task for slow walking this so co-conspirators were on midterm ballots. Smith just took down a war criminal with 26 years.

At the very least, we need to have some new policies that prohibit lawmakers from not testifying in investigations that involve their professional role in our government. Pence not only co-dependently enabled a lunatic for 4 years, he only did the right thing on J6 because his life and his family's lives were in danger. And, he snapped right back in line by withholding information in his book until after midterms and stated that we weren't entitled to his testimony. Yesterday, he said more crazy nonsense about Trump not being prosecuted. This is not the caliber of people that we can rely on to act in our best interests.

The vote is in. They approved releasing the Toxic Traitor's tax returns. The IRS failed to audit any of trump’s tax returns under the mandatory audit program except one year, and that was AFTER the House asked for his tax returns. An IRS memo said there were too many problems to look into.
