If it were just a dispute over ownership, Trump would have handled that in court. He wouldn't have lied about turning over the documents. And even the above excuse is pathetic.

It really is as simple as what you wrote, but to the minion, it's everything under the sun but the facts.

No, it proves that I can do independent research and arrive at my own conclusions.

Noted; no refutation of anything I posted, just a sleazy personal slur.

    Check the law.
The law does not require intent to take or posess secret documents. If you posess secret documents without authority, by law you are in violation.
The DOJ and FBI established higher standards for prosecution. This is within their authority.
The problem is that they impose the higher standard based on political considerations.

Wuuuut? You've had your thump on the scales the whole post. :eyepopping:[/QUOTE]
    Really.
You think Engoron has been "bending over backward" for trump?
Nah, not even a close minded democrat can think that.

No matter. We'll eventually see how these cases settle out.

I don't care if you want to make your little group insults in your judgments but just don't sit there and pretend like you're more civil or more moral than anyone else.

Just tell the truth and shame the devil.

It'll take years to seize any of Trump's buildings.

Trump is being charged with "willfully retaining national defense documents". So, yeah, he's being charged because of that.

Biden willfully retained national defense documents. He should be charged, to.

When asked trump DID NOT give back the docs
When asked Biden DID give back the docs

    Do you understand the difference?

Post the law that makes that legal standard.

As noted several times before, the law does not require a showing of intent.
    Only possession.
The intent part is a condition added by DOJ.
It is part of their job to determine the conditions for prosecution of any case within their jurisdiction.
The problem is, if they apply the law and their conditions arbitrarily prosecution becomes persecution.
And that is what many Americans are seeing.

    Hillary Clinton had secret documents.
She took affirmative steps to hide the fact that she had them and defied Federal subpoenas in the process.
    She got a pass.
Trump did essentially the same thing, he is being prosecuted.

Biden had secret documents for many years.
It is all but impossible to think he didn't know he had them.
Even so, the manner of storage, the length of time and his curious relationship with foreign governments at the time combine to make his case prosecutable using DOJ guidelines.

    Pence had secret documents.
By all accounts he turned them over as soon as he realized he had them.
Under the law he is prosecutable.
    Under DOJ guidelines, probably not.
Pence is the exception for these cases.

What a democrat does is politics.
What a republican does is criminal.

The prosecutor doesn't get to make the law.

You keep making the claim. It's high time you support your claim.

Rejecting the bond would be a bad idea. It simply casts in cement the fact that this prosecution isn't about finding truth and justice but about harming a political opponent.

    True that.
the 2x impeached also was beginning to complain about 2016 election being rigged, until he won. Then is was legit.
