In my personal opinion, it was mostly a witch hunt, and they never would have investigated him so deeply or gone after him like they did if it hadn't been for his connections to Trump.

But hey, maybe politically-motivated prosecutions are part of the strategy against MAGA?

You understand how people can be pushed into pleading guilty, don't you?
Even in some cases when they shouldn't have to plead guilty.

I don't think his serving prison time, by itself, really proves anything.
Unless you are naive enough to believe that courts always do the right thing and never abuse the law.

Maybe you are not aware of this, but it's common knowledge among all lawyers that if a prosecutor really wanted to put you in prison, they could come up with some legal justification and probably make a case out of it. It's really easy to do against a kind of slimy businessman from NYC who has a lot of business dealings.

While it is good thing to try to sensibly organize an overall strategy of citizen involvement, I don't know that I would call what I heard in your clip, "clever." It was very common sense advice, trying to get Democrats to raise the profile of their issues of concern, much as the Tea Party Republicans, and many others, have done in the past. While I also, totally support the idea of getting Republicans on the record, over these controversial topics, I do not believe this precludes them from later using some lame excuse or other, to do the exact opposite of what they now call their positions.

 

And yet a “grand jury” reviewed this case. If nothing was there the case would have been dropped

Oh! And BTW that pressure on Cohen to plead? Didn’t happen under Biden…….

 

Because Trumpism is the polar opposite of "making America great again"?

 

Ironically, it's those who think this country is not great who are ruining it. They should leave. Maybe they could move to Russia and make it great. Start by bringing a much-needed revolution to overthrow Putler.
