That is correct. In 2018 Trump's doctor stated that he passed the test.

This means by the end of his presidency Trump will be 82 and it will be at least 11 years since his last cognitive testing.

And THANK YOU for clarifying that despite banging on about it multiple times in recent rallies, Trump has not in fact had any official testing since 2018..

Deflection noted.... you seem to think you can play off the 6 years when he starts the presidency, but want to predict the future and claims he has not had a test 4 years from now... how friggin weird.

Your current president who's own aides have been covering up he cognitive decline the last 4 years HAS NEVER HAD A COGNITIVE TEST IN 82 YEARS

So by your silly game your current president never had a cognitive test in 78 years when he started his presidency.

Again the test should be administered by a qualifies (not Ronny Jackson) medical officer independent of the government but recognised by an Authority I.e Academy of American gerontologists if there is such a thing. Put in as many safeguards as you like as long as it cannot be scammed from either side

If you think that Trump is going to have any further cognitive testing I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Yes exactly. And that is the point of this thread. Biden should have cognitive testing undertaken immediately and Trump when he takes office.

And in fact, according to Trump those running for presidency should have cognitive testing prior. In his own words: ' forced to take'. https://www.forbes.com/sites/ariann...rd-cognitive-test-heres-whats-on-those-tests/

But I'm glad that you're finally coming around. You obviously do think, like Trump, it's a good idea for presidents and presidential nominees to take cognitive tests regularly.

Prove Trump is not going to have a cognitive test in the next 4 years... your claim... back it up...

Cognitive tests should be regular part of an annual physical exam, and a physical exam prior to the primary season and prior to the election. I'd be supportive of a Constitutional Amendment.

I can't. But opinions are allowed on PF. I think Trump will flee the possibility of cognitive testing by country mile.

However, I could be wrong. Because Trump himself has called for mandatory cognitive testing for all presidential candidates. So I'm sure he'll be volunteering for personal testing any day now. While Trump has demonstrated signs of cognitive decline and might well want to avoid cognitive testing in case it jeopardises his presidency, according to many of his supporters this man has integrity and is known for following through on his word - as well as putting country before his own personal interests.

Let's immediately arrange for Biden to have cognitive testing.

Ok, I just realised the second part of that post was directed towards me as well.

The New York Times is considered to be most to the left of any of the 'newspapers of record' in the US. I subscribe due to the voluminous quality of well written articles.

Now, of course, there are publications that are more to the left.

It was a great interview that I would recommend to anyone to learn about Fauci and Covid, whether you admire him or condemn him - and while no means a softball interview, it was also fair. You could see what a difficult job Fauci had (particularly dealing with Trump) but also he's a bit of a reactive guy. Can get defensive very quickly.

So I maintain that he is a bit of an overconfident guy at times.

Fauci shouldn’t be highly respected by anyone who’s first priority is public health.

When you have been in a specialty field as long as Fauci had then you develop a surety in relation to what you know and what you don’t know. Ye Gods I know I come across as arrogant with some of this but I DO have medical training so I have the basic cognitive framework to make sense of the research. There are others on this board who do not have that cognitive framework and although some do research a point they can get the information wrong

So exactly which side of the fence are you on?

"flee the possibility of cognitive testing" or "mandatory cognitive testing for all presidential candidates"
(he actually said "All Presidents, or people wanting to become President)

as we keep dancing around the fact.... Biden is our current president.... Biden has been in cognitively decline even before he stepped into office.. it has been revealed his staff has been in coverup mode for 4 years... . Biden has put our country at great risk..... yet Biden was never given a cognitive test when the country knew of his mental capabilities were waning but still allowed to "play" president... National security risk 101 as we whistle by the graveyard.

@Melb_muser is not American. Biden isn’t his president, unless Biden is president of the world.

    Well ya got me there....
seems "not an American " is posting about "not his president" and you won't let me reply "as an American" about "my president"

So let me correctly restate my post with "Our current president" since that makes it official.. as the "not an America" has a "prime minister" and not a president...

I’m unaware of a PF rule that you have to be an American to comment on American politics.

Show me where I can't post in reply to anyone in the world... this is getting a little petty in my view.. anyone selling a bridge in Brooklyn in America makes one question who is "not an American" and why I can't respond... just because you say so..

I was merely pointing out that Biden is not his president. You’re welcome.

The most satisfaction I had with a forum debate was a discussion with an education researcher. He was committed to public education and the discussion was around what it would take to successfully implement school vouchers. I taught school for 33 years and designed a number of work experience programs for my district's senior high students. As an economist and former business owner, I was the union rep to the school district on financial matters. We were joined on many issues by a former college administrator--the forum owner where we were both moderators. Forum members joined in to express their views on matters under discussion as parents, taxpayers, etc. We covered a lot of ground over more than a year of discussion.

Another long-running discussion has gone on since before the turn of the century is with a Jewish engineer from NYC with ties to Israel--he lives near Tel Aviv part of the year and his son was in the IDF. As you might expect, he's totally committed to the maintaining Israel as a Jewish state. We focus on how Jews can live with Palestinians. The discussion started and evolved after I fell into becoming his wingman when he was attacked on the forum. I made sure as moderator that the debate didn't turn into personal attacks.
