If that is a concern for Repubs they have every opportunity to court those voters by making policy changes to the POT platform.

Weird how some folks are really against preventing illegals from picking our national office holders.

I'll tell you what, right wingers: I will absolutely support legislation like this, and will even write all of my lawmakers to try to get it to pass . . . if you do the same for my proposed law making it illegal to murder trans people.

For over 30 years the government has been able to keep track of every penny I have earned..

and guess what??...not a single time did I or the company I worked for reported my income in person

I have deposited every tax return for that last 30 years in a mailbox ...and the IRS received it

if the government can count a persons money they can surely count a persons vote

getting on the voter rolls is not the same thing as a valid vote, both sides check for invalid voters

You are the only person here saying anything related to throwing voters off the rolls. This is not a logical response to my post. You are arguing against your words, not against anything that I have said. On the tangent of purging voter rolls, people can check for voter roll legitimacy in terms of dead people or those that have moved, but nobody has access to citizenship status where they would be able to challenge someone's legitimacy. In fact, the link I provided specifically talks about illegals they KNOW are not valid and how they are unable to get them off the rolls. On top of that, this whole concept has nothing to do with what is being discussed.

You are also saying that getting on the voter rolls is not the same as a vote, which is technically true ( in the same way that there are no calories ingested from buying oneself an ice cream sundae), but I provided a link to illegals on the voter rolls that voted. The connection there does exist between being on the voter rolls and actually voting. If an illegal immigrant gets on the voter rolls, they can and often do vote. What is there to debate? The AP link I provided spelled this out rather clearly.

They are. They usually result from the analysis of facts. The facts remain the same but the analyses go in all directions. In politics the difference between facts and opinions is not universally understood.

Never mind. If you can't grasp that simple fact, further conversation is useless.

As usual, the democrats have distorted the purpose of something a republican does. The purpose is not to make it illegal for a non-citizens to vote. The proposed law requires all people prove their citizenship when registering to vote.

Yes. We get it. You guys are desperate to "solve" a problem that the current law already solves.

Many states do not require proof of citizenship to get a drivers license and they are not allowed to ask if the person is a citizen. They can use that driver's license as a form of ID to register to vote.

I have never been asked to provide proof of citizenship to register to vote and I have lived in numerous voting precincts.

Why are you changing the subject to getting a DL? What state allows non-citizens to vote? Please provide your evidence that this is currently legal.
