If you are going to point out our side's rare incident argument, then expect your side's rare incident argument to be brought up. Both sides do indeed overuse the two arguments.
And if you look at the picture he provided, that looks to be the same level of development. So I am not sure what your issue is. Sorry if it actually gave perspective as to how little development that actually was.
It's already being done. Or have you not noticed that the abortion rate has been steadily dropping for the last few decades?
Of course they are capable of making difficult moral decisions. They do that every time that the make a decision to have an abortion or make a decision to not have an abortion. And it is their own morals that they have to make that decision around. The fact that it may not be your morals is of no consequence.
Fix the adoption system first. Until there are no more children who are available for adoption, despite there being more than enough people wanting to adopt, why would you want to put more children into the system to languish?
Or just cost of living. Given that overall wages are not keep up with the rises in expenses, some people only have the lifestyle of paycheck to paycheck. But that's a matter for a whole other thread.
You should also look at the conditions in other countries. It is the countries where abortion is banned that have the highest rates overall. The most likely reason is where it is banned, sex education is also restricted so unwanted pregnancies occur from ignorance, whereas where legal, sex education is more open and birth control is not viewed negatively, so less unwanted pregnancies happen. Quite honestly I see abortion going away under only two conditions. First the adoption process would have to be fixed so that more children can get adopted. This would include a change in the prevailing attitude of only wanting to adopt babies and not older children. The second is that artificial womb (AW) technology along with a removal procedure that is equal or less invasive and/or physically traumatic to the body come into common use. There are many woman out there that would make use of that instead of an abortion should it be available. Until then, all they have is abortion.

Keep in mind that I said that those are the conditions needed, not that those conditions existing would guarantee abortion going away. But without those conditions, it will never go away entirely, again setting aside life saving necessity.
