To my knowledge, abortion is not classified as murder in any state. Again, your views on this issue are purely emotional.
Nicely said, but I disagree. We protect our young because a) they can't protect themselves, b) we love them, they are ours by blood or by choice, and c) all innocent creatures deserve any protection we can manage. The "upgrades" in human evolution are not noticeable from one generation to the next. Evolution is a very slow process, and changes happen very gradually.
It's just a woman's right to choose and will never, ever lead to infanticide we're told. Do any of you pro-choice advocates want to lecture us some more about human sanctity being just a choice, not a moral issue at all? America desperately needs a religious, moral revival. 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” D.C. Mother Allegedly Killed by Father of Baby She Claimed to Toss in Trash D.C. Police Department Nick Gilbertson29 Apr 202298 3:36 A Washington, DC, woman, who publicly said that she tossed her tw0-month-old baby in the trash when he wasn’t breathing after she accidentally rolled on top of him in bed, was found dead Wednesday, and the father of her child faces murder charges, reports say. In a press release, the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said personnel with the Fifth District responded to a reported stabbing in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, at approximately 2:52 a.m. Once on scene, authorities discovered the victim, later identified as Ladonia Boggs, 38, with an apparent stab wound. She was not displaying any signs of life and was conveyed to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, according to the release. Personnel with the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended 44-year-old Carl Jones of Northeast D.C. on a Superior Court arrest warrant the same day, the MPD said. Jones is charged with second-degree murder while armed, and an investigation has found the incident to be domestic.
I have no idea what your extract has to do with the biblical quote you used. What disturbs me is that you live in what is described (by some) as a secular country. That means faith does not influence the creation or application of the law. Yet you spend inordinate amounts of time using a Christian text to direct law about your favourite subject. Your national population is not wholly Christian and certainly not to the fundamentalist degree you support. So I ask you and your cheerleaders why you think it is perfectly acceptable to advocate for your brand of your faith, over and above that of the faith of others, in a secular mixed faith democracy. You are in fact violating the established nature of the country you choose to live in. It might be better if you found some community of devotees who support your interpretation of reality, as have for example, Jews who live in Israel where "church" and state have become one, or a caliphate where Islam and the state are the same. A sort of Christian Afghanistan, if you will. You would feel so much better living amongst those who have the same confirmation bias. Put down your burden of converting the wicked and live in peace. While letting the rest of us do the same.
If that changes will you stand by while even more women are jailed for “murder” following a miscarriage? And yes it is happening now across America
This crime and the abortions you support have something in common, a horrific disregard for human sanctity. They are actions of profound selfish irresponsibility.
Sanctity: the state or quality of being holy, sacred, or saintly. American law forbids appeal to religion...
Europe had had a lot of wars about religion. This was recent history for the Founding Fathers, and they wanted no part of it. This is a secular country, they made it way. Sectarian governments lead to conflict.. "The Constitution of the United States provides for a wholly secular government. Any action by the Congress, the Executive, or Judiciary that confers any benefit upon religious organizations or places any impediment in the way of religious expression that does not infringe the rights of others is a violation of the letter and spirit of the Constitution. The Constitution, wrote the historian Charles A. Beard, "does not confer upon the Federal government any power whatever to deal with religion in any form or manner." James Madison called it "a bill of powers." He said that "the powers are enumerated and it follows that all that are not granted by the Constitution are retained" by the people." https://www.encyclopedia.com/law/le...zines/constitution-created-secular-government
You're pretending this is solely a legal matter with no moral implications...you're wrong. Secular governments will often bend to the culture's basest instincts, permitting and sometimes requiring, things that are morally repugnant. Abortion is just one such example. Things do not end well when a society loses it's moral grounding.
. Repugnant to whom ? YOU? YOUR "morals" are NOT everyone's. LOL, please give an example of just when society was "morally grounded"...
Sectarian governments always result in conflict. And religious extremists are always trying to make the government sectarian by sneaking religion in with bogus issues like abortion.
Problem is that you want to use your version of your religion. we would be a lot better off if we have a Wiccan religious moral revival. But no you'd whine about that too.
