Let's see if they face the same consequences as the J6 folks.

And which January 6th folks would that be. But these people are not democrats since McCarthy approved reauthorization of Aids funding, something the Freedom Caucsu wants to eliminate.

But if they are charged with disorderly conduct, then the rule of law was justified. It is not like they were overthrowing the government with some of the more serious charges such as Enrique Tarrio for instance.

 

Did everyone who got jail time engage in those acts?

They trespassed and obstructed the Congress. How many years should each one get?

They were trespassing, parading and unlawfully occupying a government building.

 

Arrest them.

As far as protesting goes, I'd much prefer this over blocking roads or vandalism or worse, but if you're going to go somewhere and cause a scene, expect to get removed and possibly arrested. I'm sure these activists were prepared for that and it was the cost of doing business for them and their cause.

 

It's illegal. They should face the full brunt of the law. Right?

There will be no charges or, more likely, they will all testify that Trump made them do it and Trump will be hooked up with a slew of new charges.

 

The US courts and US juries disagree with your assessment but as always, you are entitled to whatever beliefs you choose to hold.

Simple trespass is about all they will likely receive but we shall see.

 

Based on the guy's charge, that looks appropriate, and will pretty much reflect the people who were demostrating in McCarthy's office.

Right. That makes sense because these protesters were only opposed to a Republican. If they were protesting a Democrat then it would be domestic terrorism and they would all be looking at 20 years or more.

 

So, the insurrectionists that invaded McCarthy's off should get years in prison and probation?
