Ah yes, the right wing myth about voodoo economics. Those wonderful Reagan Borrow and Spend years where they ran up huge debt, spent like drunken sailors, and then handed an economy in recession to Bill Clinton whose booming economy gave way to the Shrub who promptly turned it into a deficit and another recession.

Twist and turn and warp all you want. Democrats fix the economy after Republicans crash it.

    Repeatedly.

At these historically low LFPR's. No high paying manufacturing jobs, government jibs leading the way, part time jobs record numbers having to work part-time, all being fed by Bidenflation. Biden took a strong recovery and reversed it causing the worst economy since Carter and now you want to give him a medal because the private sector IN SPITE of his policies has recovered half of it. What folly.

The historic low LFPR was under trump. It’s been rising since we got rid of him.

You seemed confused that Presidents are in charge of the budgets and are kings and Congresses just act on their orders.

    Again

    Ahhh that leftwing myth

Bush and the Reps handed the Dem Congress a strong economy with rising incomes, strong GDP, low unemployment, record tax revenue increase and a paltry $162B deficit. A year later later they had failed to mitigate the slowdown and then with a Dem President too they failed to mitigate the depth and length of the recession exacerbating both and then gave us the worst recovery in modern history.

    Who handled it better?

Yep look at how good was the Gingrich/Kasich economies, the Bush/Rep Congress, the Trump/Rep of course excluding the Pandemic economy which will forever be an "*" in history and haven't even touch the longest greatest during the Reagan years.

You assign the 2009 deficit to Bush

Why? You also credit Clinton with 2001, why? Simply because they were President? That is the depth of your reasoning?

Every year of Reagans term he requested LESS spending than Congress authorized and had they accepted his budgets the deficits would have fallen even further to below $100B. Bill Clinton OTOH requested MORE spending than Congress authorized and it was the Rep Congress that forced him to reverse course and sign THEIR budgets and tax policy and welfare reform policies that balanced the budget and produced the surpluses.

Do you guys even realize there is the thing called the Congress?

Bush43 came into office and within weeks the country went into recession so if you care to explain why you claim he turned an economy into a recession I'd love to hear it. He and the Reps DID pass the policies to help mitigate the dot.com bust/recession he inherited and then the hit from 9/11 getting us into a full recovery in just 9 months hitting a peak deficit of $400B then quickly bringing that back down to $141B with full employment, a rising LFPR, strong GDP at that full employment, rising incomes, RECORD tax revenue increases and that measly $161B deficit.

Then the Dems including Obama and Biden took back the Congress Jan of 2007...........how did things go after that?

It was under COVID when the Blue states were shutting down their economies.

What do you call it when one makes a statement of fact leaving out the important facts?
