AG Barr On Universal Mail-In Voting: “This Is Playing With Fire…Very Open To Fraud And Coercion”

This is like basing a Muh Rushan Clooshun theory on a joke Trump told at a rally. It's a non-story.

 

Yes, he's openly mocking it by putting focus on how 'good' it is, meaning that Trump doesn't believe in mail in voting.

 

I'm aware of his criticism of the system, but I'm afraid I don't read it as a joke at all.

I'll even admit that many Trump jokes are more subtle and imprecisely delivered. But they're jokes nonetheless.

Trump and damn near any other human would want a competitive advantage if they could get it. That's not to say he's actively encouraging it either (if he were, he wouldn't complain about it)

Unfortunately, not all Americans have the keen sense of irony and intelligent wit that DJT has. Great example was the woman who approached McCain about Obama's nationality. So without understanding the subtlety of Trump's 'humor', there are some who may see this as marching orders from their leader. I can't think that that kind of message from a POTUS is a responsible thing to do.

Barr is not in charge of nor has jurisdiction over local elections and there are penalties now and it doesn't stop people.

 

Note how Blitzer keeps repeating the canard "but's it's not widespread" and "only an individual" right after Barr had told about the guy in Texas they indicted who had filled out 1700 ballots and sent them in.

 

Nope, he advised people to vote early and then go to the polling place to make sure they had received the ballot and if not then cast a provisional in case it doesn't show because if it doesn't then that person has been disfranchised. Your mail in vote is ONLY cast when they RECEIVE it, if they have not received it then you have not voted.

 

Then we can only assume that if Trump wins he will have done so with the help of illegal voting. If voting is compromised, then voting is compromised for both candidates.

That's what happens when people play the illegal vote card ... your candidate wins illegally and we have riots. You open the door to all sorts of unintended crap.

 

The Dems love universal mail in voting because their voter suppression works....it's why Gore worked to keep the military votes out in FL in 2000...because they were for Bush,

and why Andy "Grandma Killer" Cuomo is being sued in NYC as we speak because he suppressed thousands of voters there

You cannot vote by mail and then vote in person — it is a felony in the state of North Carolina and in numerous other states.

There are numerous checks in place in North Carolina that prevent people from double voting. Electronic pollbooks with information about who has already voted are used at every early voting site. If a voter tries to check in who has already voted, they will be prevented from voting a regular ballot. A voter will be offered a provisional ballot if they insist on voting, and this ballot will be researched after Election Day to determine whether it should be counted.

On Election Day, voters who have voted absentee are removed from the pollbook, which is updated before voting starts at 6:30 a.m. Absentee ballots that are received on Election Day are not counted until after the election, and this prevents double voting.

 

Making sure your early mail in ballot was counted, isn't voting again.....and therefore not a violation of the law.

If the vote was counted that was mailed in, then they are free to actually vote. It's not voting unless the vote is counted
