AG Barr On Universal Mail-In Voting: “This Is Playing With Fire…Very Open To Fraud And Coercion”

I'm speaking of everywhere. If they have your ballot you cannot vote at the polling place. If they don't then you can vote then and your mailin will not be counted or a provisional in case it doesn't show up in the time limit after, which there should none they are due on the day of the election and not later, and if it does the provisional will not be counted, depends on the particular state.

You realize that your claiming that a person can vote by mail and then go the polling place and somehow vote again is making an argument AGAINST mail-in voting.

 

Then what's the problem with a person going to the polling place and asking a worker there to verify they received it and will be counted? And if I put my ballot in the mail and I check on election day and they don't have it then what, or if they give it 2 days after the poll closes and they don't have it are you out of luck or what?

 

Is it illegal to go to a polling place to confirm your vote was received? How can a person who votes by mail vote again at the polling place, your making the case to NOT have mailin voting.

What Trump described is perfectly legal.

There are numerous checks in place in North Carolina that prevent people from double voting. Electronic pollbooks with information about who has already voted are used at every early voting site. If a voter tries to check in who has already voted, they will be prevented from voting a regular ballot. A voter will be offered a provisional ballot if they insist on voting, and this ballot will be researched after Election Day to determine whether it should be counted.

On Election Day, voters who have voted absentee are removed from the pollbook, which is updated before voting starts at 6:30 a.m. Absentee ballots that are received on Election Day are not counted until after the election, and this prevents double voting.

 

Sure you can. If the mailed ballot has not been recorded on election day and you cast a provisional ballot at the polls to ensure your vote is counted. Perfectly legal. The procedure is already in place.

My state CONFIRMED that they had received my ballot request for mail in voting. They will CONFIRM when they receive my completed ballot too.

Mail in voting PROMOTES voter PARTICIPATION.

States that have been using ONLY vote by mail for YEARS have had negligible issues with it.

In essence all you have is FEARMONGERING because there are no FACTS to support your baseless allegations.
