Despite his constant and angry mocking of organized religion thru out his career, 10000 days seemed to be a slight turning point from outright bashing and relentless skeptism,to hints of acceptance of his mothers undying faith in God as she passed on. Good one! I believe that some people spend their sad lives looking for something to be offended about. Unstable people seem to judge the rest of the world by their own standards, hence the objection to firearm ownership.

p.s. I`m an Australian, and I shoot every day, I`ve got my own target range. I`m strict on safety, but have to admit to I leaving photos of guns lying around, not even locked in the gun safes.

G`day Rev, we in Australia have a very poor mental health system. In some parts of Sydney, paranoia is compulsory, and it`s a distinct social advantage to be either neurotic, or schitzophrenic, or both. For example, one suburb of Sydney has been completely deserted for the past 8yrs, since for a joke, I posted a photo of a giant grasshopper on a billboard.

 

G'Day to you mate...from East TN/Smokie mnts, Sydney sounds like my kind of town! I am sure if I visited the locals might want to keep me seeing that I meet all the socially correct requirments! Normal people quickly bore me, here in east TN our blood runs red with freckles, we are from Irish and Scottish ancestory, with varying amounts of woodland cherrokee blood, which translates to the real hillbillies, (not the carpetbagging transplants). We require three attributes for to be sociallly accepted ie have serious trust issues with authority and a weakness for good moonshine. The third? You gotta love ramps, a mountain wild herb like a onion...

I haven`t tried ramps, but I`m sure I`d love em & fit in at East TN, I`m well up with the other two. Well it wasn`t a giant grasshopper at all, just an ordinary one magnified & stuck on a billboard, still way better looking than our Prime Minister though. She`s ugly enough to scare a steam train up a dirt track.

I tend to think someone who has to have a gun in their avatar isn't interested in debate, so I wouldn't take them seriously.

 

I read an article on life for school teachers in the 1860`s. Female school teachers were forbidden to attend ice cream parlors, because this type of behaviour eroded their credability. You just reminded me on that article, that`s all.
