Denying American citizens health care in violation of the Hippocratic Oath while allowing illegals to get care seems just a bit too complicated for you to grasp.

Thats fair. I'd prefer a doctor who doesnt worship at the alter of big pharma. Doctors should have the same right as anyone else to choose who they do (and dont) business with, and this one has made it clear that he and I have no business with eachother. I like it when people are honest like that. Makes life easier.

I had a doctor long ago tell me that if I came back to him and hadn't quit smoking, I would be seeing a different doctor cause he wasnt wasting his time on smokers. That was fair too.

So someone who has not been vaccinated has a heart attack on the sidewalk, and this doctor will just walk on by?

Glad to know who the bigots are.

Genuinely silly analogy attempt.. since that person wouldn't necessarily be a patient...

I still smoke. He was an out-of-town doctor anyway, I wasn't looking to make him 'my doctor.'

Well, I never changed on this. The crux of the Hippocratic Oath is to do no harm and the intention of this is quite the opposite. The doctor-patient relationship is very personal, and to maximize the therapeutic relationship you want to have a doctor you're compatible with, if possible. As another example, a doctor who is against abortions probably shouldn't be the provider for a patient who needs an abortion. There are situations where, it's urgent and you just have to take care of the person in front of you or else they'll be harmed. The applicable ethical issue in this case is abandonment. But if you give them time to find somebody else, but still treat them if it's so urgent there's no time to get them to somebody else, then it's not abandonment. This doctor is not being unethical.

But refusing treatment to people who were his patients because of not being vaccinated is ok, but he would treat someone who isn't vaccinated that he doesn't know? Not a silly analogy, if you think on it. He is not treating people who don't necessarily have COVID. That means his basis in not treating people is all about the vaccine. He's a bigot.

Yes, because bakers are like doctors....bakers take an oath......I knew you would jump at the naive comparison.

Bigot?? Seriously?? If the exact same person makes a small investment in their own health, then he's suddenly not a bigot??

Lol... disagree with him if you like, but let's stay grounded here...

That’s up for debate. I disagree. If you can’t change being gay then all rapists and pedophiles should be put to death. Cause it’s just what they like right?

Bakers are not an essential service. No one on this forum has ever indicated that they would support a doctor to refuse service based on any discriminatory beliefs. I’m sure you feel the same way. So don’t feel you need to defend yourself on a comparison that is more like comparing a whale to a monkey

We had someone on this forum who says he is a Dr. (who the hell really knows?) express the same sentiment as the Dr in the OP.

Bakers dont have a god complex and giant ego (well, maybe if they are French...), they just might not bake you a sin cake. LOL

Bigot. I know it's a seldom used word these days, but it is a valid word, and fits the description of what this doctor is doing.

Since Gov Wallace, Alabama is used to standing down in the face of federal tyranny.
