You know... you're right.. The Statement was from Zimmerman's father who was at the SPD that night.

Your absurd willful denial of logic and reason is not a defense. Were it, one might say that no-one saw the bullet leave Zimmermans gun and strike Martin. So it must be that Martin was shot by someone else. Or maybe he shot himself and they simply haven't found the gun. Which of course would be clear proof in your world of the Sanford Police being incompetent. Sheesh this is stupid.

Known racist George Zimmerman saw a young black man innocently walking through the complex, and thought to himself "I think I'll shoot me a n****r!" Thinking quickly, Zimmerman then diabolically called 911 so that he'd establish an alibi for the incident about to occur. Blatently ignoring police dispatcher commands not to confront Trayvon, Zimmerman then followed Martin and accosted him. Zimmerman then got into a confrontation with Martin and pulled Martin to the ground so Martin would land on top of him. Zimmerman then proceeded to punch himself in the nose and eyes, while banging his head against the ground and screaming "Get off, get off!". Then, knowing full well that not only were there no witnesses, but no surveillance cameras observing this incident, he calmly, coolly, and with malice aforethought, proceeded to shoot young Martin in the chest. Zimmerman's racist friends in the Sanford Police Dept. then proceeded to cover-up this incident, labelling it justifiable homicide/self-defense.

This is what we're being led to believe.

Calling it stupid is a lazy person's way of not being able to prove it wrong.

Why don't you show us a single post where anyone said Z planned to shoot T from the beginning?

(when you can't I will help you forget your blatantly false claim.)

His full statement was not released but before he got charged SPD posted a mini version of what Z claimed to have happened on the city's website. A few days before Z got charged all evidence was removed from the site since it was going to be used for prosecution.

According to SPD, Z said he was returning to his truck after losing sight of T and that is when T attacked. No mention of words between the two. That wasn't added until Crump revealed T was on the phone. When it was learned someone heard the initial meeting, Z's side then claimed they exchanged words.

Plenty more quotes like that if you so desire.

You don't carry a weapon unless you plan to be in a situation where you need to use it, so...

Either Zimmerman carried out a premeditated murder, or Zimmerman found himself in a situation where he reasonably believed his life was at risk, and shot Martin in self-defense.

Which is it - premeditated murder or self-defense?

George didn't profile and follow Trayvon with the intent to shoot him.

But, unless the gun went off accidently.. GZ pulled the trigger with INTENTION.

But what was that intention? Was it actually to kill Martin, or just to make him to break off his attack?

Surely you know the difference between premeditated and intentional.

He intended to save his own life.....what happened to the kid was incidental. What he did was legal and justified.

Intention was formed at the point he fired the gun at Trayvon's chest.

Intention is NOT neccessarily premeditation in legal terms.

GZ was already in the weeds on this.. He followed the kid, didn't speak to him or identify himself......

It was legal and justifiable for T to defend himself from the stranger harassing him but it was not a justifiable move for Z to shoot him in the heart.

Regarding the trial, this will be a non-issue and all the evidence shows he was in complete control of his gun at all times.

M2 does not require intent to kill. Only a proven action of depravity and reckless regard for human life.

    How do you know this?

How do you know exactly what Zimmerman's intent was that night?

How do you know exactly what happened that night?

The kid is dead because he assaulted Zimmerman.

Actually, even if Zimmerman provoked the attack, if Martin had him pinned, Zimmerman was justified in shooting.

But there is not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman initiated the confrontation. He could just as easily have been returning to his car when Martin attacked him. There is evidence to support both.

Do you understand the difference between premeditation and intent in law.

GZ didn't plan to kill anyone.. it wasn't premeditated.

But unless the gun went off accidentally.. he did intend to pull the trigger.

    This will help.

NO .. Trayvon is dead because Zimmerman is a fool with no impulse control.

And I think GZ is sunk because of three lies he invented in the heat of the moment.

Of course Zimmerman intended to pull the trigger - if someone was on top of me and bouncing my noggin off of the pavement like it was a basketball and they were "Curly" Neal of the Harlem Globetrotters, I'd shoot them too!

The bottom line Margot is this -- only two people know exactly what happened that night, and one of them has - in the words of Rush Limbaugh - assumed room temperature.

No one knows who provoked the incident, no one knows what words were exchanged between Zimmerman and Martin in the thirty seconds leading up to the physical confrontation. No one knows why Treyvon Martin acted in the fashion he did, and only Zimmerman knows why he acted the way he did.

The medical evidence is inconclusive - parts of it tend to bolster Zimmerman's statement as to how the incident transpired, parts of it don't. The witnesses are unreliable - some of them have changed their testimony in the time period since they gave statements to the police in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.

The forensic evidence is also inconclusive - as with the medical evidence, some of it tends to corroborate Zimmerman's version of events, some of it tends to cast doubt as to the truth of Zimmerman's story.

There are no eyewitnesses who either observed and/or overheard the entire event, and there is no surveillance camera footage that shows how the shooting actually transpired.

Finally, there's the... shall we say "less than thorough", job the Sanford PD is alleged to have done investigating the shooting.

And with that huge pile of inconclusive evidence, a mass of circumstantial evidence, a mountain of contradictory evidence, somehow Zimmerman is supposed to be absolutely, positively, 110% beyond a reasonable doubt GUILTY?

Regardless of what you, SkyStryker, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the rest of Zimmerman's detractors believe - he has a right to a fair trial before an impartial jury of his peers. The state of Florida has the burden of proof to show beyond a reasonable doubt (there's that term again...) that Zimmerman not only acted without regard for human life, but that Zimmerman's claim of self-defense is not applicable in this instance.

Given what I've read about the evidence up to this point in time, I don't see how the state of Florida can possibly prove that.
