Amber Guyger: Trial begins for ex-Dallas cop who killed neighbor in apartment mix-up

Not if you carrier a loaded gun in your hand willing to kill without being aware of your surroundings!

If you think you are in your own house and if you choose to have your gun in your hand to shoot, then the gunners should be ready to be held responsible for their actions!

Thousands of children, family members, neighbors, emergency personnel, police, lost people and many more end up shot and killed, and all are supposed to forgive those slaughtered people by these incompetent or careless or drunk or angry, and all the loaded up ready to kill anyone in a split second without a look because "well, sh!t does happen" or can kill whole families and call it "negligence"!

NO! Sure there are situations where negligence can happen, but this killer is not "negligent", she is the equivalent of driving on the the wrong way on a one way street, too tired to be competent yet keeping her instant killer powerand is supremely competent she is able to kill!

People who own deadly weapons in hand ready to use it should responsible for actions, always! If you can't do that, put your gun away until you can!

So what is the excuse for all the policemen who kill people in the wrong house, or wrong car, or wrong bar or wrong girlfriend or whatever?

Her apartment is on the third floor. She parked on the fourth floor. Fourth floor parking is open air - no roof - which should have been the first clue that she was on the wrong floor. The trajectory of her bullet suggests that she was standing while he was sitting eating a bowl of ice cream. He was no threat to her. She must have been on drugs. What do all the gun grabbers say? " You don't need a gun - call the police". With police officers like this one - you need a gun - to protect yourself from the police.

 

If he had a gun this would have never gone to trial, he would be some nameless thug.

I believe she was on some uppers to complete her long shift. She went to his apartment probably because there was a nearby stairway to get down to hers. Heard the tv, got ticked off, then killed him.

 

She has nothing to say except what adults have taught her.

 

Amber was not tired, she was in a rage because the guy she wanted to screw stood her up.

 

This may be some sort of weird mental therapy for an obviously troubled child

I wonder if putting her on the stand will backfire?

 

The Texas Rangers originally suggested manslaughter charges after their investigation. By upping the charges to Murder 1 by the DA, she will be acquitted and Dallas will have people hurt or killed by protesters. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my prediction.

 

Amber deliberately and with forethought murdered Jean in cold blood. She needs to be executed for the killer that she is.

Ambers boyfriend, Martin Rivera, might end up getting fired for his crimes.

Deliberately and with forethought? Do they have proof that she planned to kill Botham Jean? I understand that the victim is completely innocent and all blame is squarely on Guyger, but murder 2 or manslaughter are more feasible. They’ll have a hard time proving premeditation or planning. The DA’s zeal will allow her to go free and that’s a travesty of justice.

A Dallas police officer testified Friday that after entering what she thought was her apartment last year, she shot the silhouetted figure inside because he was advancing on her in the dark and she feared for her life.

Amber Guyger, 31, told the jury at her murder trial that when she put her key in what she thought was her apartment door’s lock last September, the door opened because it hadn’t been fully closed. Fearing it was a break-in, she drew her service weapon and stepped inside.
