This thread was about initial corporate rates, not effective rates.

The only reason for declining U.S. taxes paid as a whole, it our government driving companies overseas.

We do. The US doesn't have the highest tax rates; the evidence presented confirmed it; you've adopted a 'cheese in the ears' strategy

There is a difference between rates and actual money paid in taxes. I am talking about rates...initial corporate tax rates.

Without referring to effective rates you cannot make international comparison. Tacitly you admitted that as you were forced to make the claim that businessmen were pig ignorant and didn't know anything about them

One? Always multiple. Always critique. Always the evidence! Beats the 'cheese in the ears' approach when making terribly basic error

no different than 15% capital gains that has deductions so i don't pay that when i buy a house. you want tp talk crap because we say what the starting point as applied to tax. I pay no payroll taxes yet make $26,000 dollars. Your deception never talks about the 14% that pay no payroll taxes and the 47% that pay no federal income tax so the federal income tax is not what you claim it is

Just like income tax. Obama makes just under 7 figures yet only pays a 20% tax

They get it but will not admit the US is over taxed and that is the real reason business has went to other countries

We have the highest rate before deductions. Just like Obama does not pay 35% income tax

To make international comparison you have to refer to effective rates. This is darn obvious! It wouldn't be healthy to share the other fellow's cheese. Nasty ear infections would abound

Deception? I'm not the one using bogus comparisons (that would be the opening poster). I'm also not the one that refers to evidence and pretends it doesn't destroy the opening post (that would be you)

The thread is entitled "America officially has the highest taxes in the World". It doesn't. Even you managed to show that!

No We do have the highest before deductions. Just like Obama starts at 35% income tax but ends up paying 20%.

The tax that it starts at is the highest of any other industrial country.

And that is the only relevant comparison when making international comparisons! Good to see you're not using the cheese

Yes you are. The OP is about the starting point and you want to look at what is paid. You are making a deception to deny corporate taxes are the real reason business goes to other countries.

Nonsense. I'm referring to the only way that we can determine whether the US has the highest tax rate. The opening poster was but manipulated by a piece of misrepresentation. There is no excuse, however, for continuing the error. Its inane party politics run amok

We have the highest tax rate before deductions which is what you ignore. For instance Obama's income should fall into the 30% bracket yet he pays 20%. Does that mean income tax is not based on those brackets?

The tax is rate for corporations is the highest in the world before you take into account deductions. You want to spin it to deny business is leaving because they are over taxed which they are. It hurts our economy and employment and Obama wants it to be more.
