In the last decade or so, to me it seems America is sliding down the poop shute. Since the last global financial crisis the slippery slope has become steeper, the down grading of the credit rating is an indicator. With all of America's wealth, resourses, technology etc, this shouldn't be happening.

Irrespective of which side of the political fence you graze on, the problems point to gross mismanagement.

Without turning this thread into a "we are better than the rest" or Democrat vs Republican slinging match,, WTF is going on?

But who manages the managers? There must be some form of control.

It is time for this nation to invest... that is, invest in its own people.

Some would say greed for the few by the few done to so many.

    Some would say insanity.

    Couldn't agree more.

And to answer the OP, America worked best when state and big business were different entities. At this point, the state works for big business, the "right and left conflicts" are all a dog and pony show.

    1. It should never be legal for ANY business to rip people off; supply what is paid for and CLEARLY promised. To many tricks are played on average people, because the law allows it.

    2. Anyone or entity making money, should pay the same 'proportion' of income in taxes. As it is, the average guy cannot tell if they are being cheated or not. :(

Constant partisan bickering, declining educational standards, crumbling infrastructure, and lots of people who don't have the money to access the health care system in the way they need. I hope this wasn't too partisan!

This is happening in many countries where big corporations and business pulls the strings of government.

You couldn't be more right. I think Americans are waking up to the fact they're getting screwed by both sides equally, sponsored by Wall Street.

My grandpa told my mom that income tax started to pay for world war 1, and after the war, his father's generation refused to pay it and the government did nothing to them, as they knew the people were in the right. They just enforced it on their son's generation and beyond. He said his generation not fighting it, with arms if necessary, was one of the biggest mistakes his generation made. And he wasn't a nutty poor white guy, a major player in the sheep industry during his time. Now people just take income tax, like you, as a given. So many things have been thrown on American backs such as this, and I assure you Johnny, we are in far worse a boat than when war was declared on the British. Any compromise at this point will still leave us screwed. Our nation has been so warped only a revolution, a new elite, a reworking of every aspect by nationalists for all Americans, will fix anything. And not just anything, everything. No more compromises.

Sooner,, you'd think with all the wealth generated by America both domestically and globally, investment in infrastructure, education, health etc would be a priority.

Having good infrastructure, education and health care the factors which separate a great country from a not so great country?

This story probably seems silly to some. And I assure you, I know the might of our state, and it is truly scary. I don't take the word revolution lightly. My family is all LDS, and information we learn is passed down through generations, never to be forgotten. I think it gives pioneer blood insight to what has truly gone on for 100 years, where as with other American families live more in the now.

Well there are other things too, but I didn't want to sound partisan. I was aiming for something most reasonable liberals and conservatives could agree on. But it is sad that America recently got a D rating on most of it's infrastructure by the American Society of Civil Engineers http://www.infrastructurereportcard.org/.

Sooners, with the dust bowl, know the devastation bankers have done to America over the last 100 years as good as anyone. Good to see you in the fight. And you know you love those Boise Broncos. :D

Rich corrupt people have too much influence over the country (I'm not saying all rich people are corrupt). Our government tends to go stagnant too. True reform is practically impossible to do.

You're still the most successful program in collegiate history. That's why it was such a big deal to us. Boise gets bumped upped and 1 team goes independent and other to Pac-12. No respect I tell ya, no respect. LOL. But anyway, don't want to derail thread. Just had to give ya crap.

The illuminati controls the mainstream media which controls the stupid sheep in this nation.

Here you go. Poke around on this site. Take a look at the Chart and see whos at the top. There's your answer. Bankers. They control the mainstream media which keeps the people in this country stupid. The all time greatest mind control device is the television.

    http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/esp_sociopol_nwo.htm

Rothschild, Rockefeller, dupont, etc. They, along with other private groups, have founded or helped fund all the organizations you see there which have been pulling the strings mainly in this nation and Europe for a long time. Their bloodlines go back hundreds of years. Freemasonry, cfr = council on foreign relations, FBI (azzh0les), IMF, etc.

And look at the disgusting people/corporations who support the entire scheme. Walmart, Trw (credit), Exxon mobil and other oil companies ($$$$$$$$$), Mcdonalds, motorola, CBS (mainstream media, bought sell outs), etc

    I leave you with this:

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes it's laws" —

    Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild

    Great thread, check it out.

DANG IT!! You have to work within the programming to get others to listen. They came out of the shadows and gave themselves a name, globalists. By calling them any other, people's programming will shut down their brain to anything you are trying to say. Call them globalists, nothing more.

Yes. People entertain themselves to death also, and it causes them to avoid facing the problems that America has. A good book (even though it's a novel) on this subject is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

The reason the majority of American idiots don't know about these people and information is because it is not taught in schools. It's not taught on purpose. Children are indoctrinated to know nothing else other than to perpetuate consumerism. Acquire money and then spend it. That's it. It helps the cycle continue.

The media's job is to keep citizens arguing over republican and democrat issues, with the end result being no resolution, thus the status quo remains the same for centuries.

We are truly incredulous that Americans are so easily led to their doom.
